The other day when comforting Linda she was dressed in some kind of red American basketball kit that no one (not even men) would wear off a court.

It's like they've turned her into a caricature to get across the point that she's a tomboy and not into dressing up. They could easily have just had her in jeans or cords with t-shirts and the actress used her characterisation to get the tomboyishness across. The audience are not fools.

They most certainly are. They've been watching this shit for nearly 30 years, and routinely complain about it.

(Count me in, by the way!)

What's special about what she wears? I haven't seen her wear anything that seems hard to find. I like football shirts and dungarees. I have a Lakers basketball jersey and an old Michael Jordan jersey too.

Johnny can stay though.”

Yes this is how I feel. When she was talking about her 21st with her Mum she was giggling like a 6 year old never mind 11 year old.

Her style is atrocious and not just because I personally don't rate it but I cannot identify who or what she is. I've never seen anyone dress like that but plenty in what I wold consider a tomboy style but that usually includes jeans and US football shirts and not the shorts and socks she wears

Nope she is the finest young character in the entire show.

Strong, beautiful and kind played with a wonderful naturalistic manner by the stunning Maddie Hill.

And I just love her attitude towards the Philth - she seems to be the only person on the show that sees him for what he really is - a joke.

Long live Nancy!

She is god awful and totally unwatchable. Is she seriously supposed to be almost 21 ! She acts like a spoilt 11 year old and that stupid voice she talks in and the way she laughs makes her seem borderline special needs !

Dont even get me started on the basketball outfits !

I am surprised the style has not been dropped by now and she has not been sexed up now.

I still think up that will eventually happen.

She acts as though she is about 12 and I get she is a tomboy but she looks like a cartoon character.

The way she speaks in that annoying cockney accent just seems so false. Her deep voice is very annoying too.

I think she is one of the best in the show right now, Maddy is great and I think Nancy is a great character, really relateable and a breath of fresh air, there's alot worse

when she first appeared with that whole getting married in a community centre storyline I thought I was going to be irritated by her, but thankfully they moved swiftly on from that and I like her, she is very different to the other young girls on the Square and yes sometimes I am a bit at her clothes, but I love her relationship with Linda and Mick, I just really don't want to see her paired with Dexter!

I think Nancy is fantastic. She was the one I was least sure about at the start but is now my fave. I love her naturalistic performance - nancy comes across as a kind, good hearted, normal, down to earth girl with a sense of humour and I think the actress plays her very well.

I personally am not keen on her clothing style but that is irrelevant - it fits the character and provides a contrast to the girly 'dress up doll' girl Linda would have liked to have as a daughter.

Well no offence but your kind tend to be attracted to tomboys.

Nancy's voice is deeper than Dexters, I prefer her when she's in the background. Dexter should move on to Lola.

I like her but her voice is a bit grating.

I completely forgot that even happened. That just doesn't seem like something Nancy would do (even though she obviously did).

I find her a bit annoying too when her voice sounds all babyish. I like the character in general though.

Nancy's great! Granted she has a young sort of personality but that doesn't have to be bad. Fun and spirited rather than immature imo. I think she's a lovely character and wish to god they'd focus more on her. She's better than 80% of characters in it...
I hate her dress sense, it's truly hideous, but as others have said at least it makes a nice change from trying to sex up younger female characters.
