They're not informed until a few days before but they will definitely know by now - the final is on Sunday, You're Hired is presumably being filmed today or tomorrow and I should be getting the final episode to preview this evening.

Heh, I now have the final episode minus the final 5 minutes. So I won't know who's won until it airs on Sunday.

Am I right in thinking Roisin doesn't come back to help in this final task?

Is it possible that that was created to allow the candidate use it during the final task?

I guess my theory that Sanjay would have to work with Bianca again was not correct, I guess they just wanted to show Karen calling him out on his bitchy comments about Bianca lol. Bianca has the better team over all, more professional team; compared to Mark being stuck with Soloman and James who no doubt spend half the episode chatting girls up lol

Surprised not to see Roisin back though

Possibly to stop using someone elses name then , and to stop someone else going on line with the same name and confusing people after the show leaks or is aired?

I think Bianca should win on just recruiting the better team by far - if she had the choice. Solomon adds technical understanding to Marks' team but Bianca has 3 better presenters, and 2 people who will understand her project, and no walking disaster areas.

Looks that way on paper - although only the finalists themselves present, so it doesn't matter how many good presenters they have on their team.

I've just watched the first 55 minutes of the episode (minus the rather important bit at the end, sadly). I don't know who won, but the edit is definitely slanted to suggest who we should think the winner is.

I have to say I'm unconvinced by the evidence presented so far about the assumed winner. Nothing more than circumstantial - although of course there's a 50:50 chance it's correct no matter what.

I won't say for now whether this is in agreement with my perception of who the winner actually is. I'll post a few very mild teaser facts about the final first thing on Saturday.

EDIT: Sorry, make that Sunday. Embargoed until then.

LS hasn't registered the other finalist's biz name. He also didn't register Luisa's "Master Bakes" which she used in last year's final.

I heard an interview with Roisin today on an Irish radio show and she said that she really didn't know who had won. She did say however that she thought Mark would win as his business plan really suited Lord Sugar.

The interview is from 14.35 on this audio....

I think it's a requirement to be legally resposible for submitting financial accounts when you register at Companies House.

I think if they only wanted the name secured they could have just taken the websites and possibly trademark it, rather than needed the Companies House registration.

All I can see is they have done everything for one finalist's company and not the other one.

They have registered two websites with hyphenated names .co.uk and .com (in the form: x-x.co.uk and x-x.com).

They have registered the company name as a trademark in capitals and lower case -

Yes I know,.... which worries me.
Because that sort of edit tends to make me think the result will be the opposite of how the edit makes it appear.

Im a little surprised they didnt capitalise on the Mark v Adam rivalry, of course it will be justified if Bianca wins.

As for the 'youre hired' thingy, his eyes look one way his hand points another

In the past, I've thought the finals were edited fairly evenly, leaving the result far from certain - I've been maybe 60-70% sure. This time, I'd say I'm 80-85% confident I know who's won. But, as you say, we could be looking at a classic misdirect.

Heck, that's part of the fun. I've seen the result of the boardroom 5 days in advance for every episode this series. It's kind of nice to not know the result of the final, even though it means I'll be scrambling to file my review as soon as the result is announced.

You mean Mark vs Daniel, right? I don't see the issue. The rivalry was cranked up for as long as they could, but the moment we get to interviews it becomes largely irrelevant. And it's a complete non-factor as far as the final is concerned - it's all about the business plans, and 90% of what Sugar bases his decision on has nothing to do with what we see in the episode on Sunday anyway - it will be based on due diligence and a more rigorous financial assessment of the plans than we see on TV.

As for the finger pointing, you do realise they shoot two alternate endings, don't you? In the boardroom, they film first one finalist winning and then the other. That's because the final is filmed before Sugar makes his final decision. They then edit in the appropriate version. So the finger-point can be a complete red herring.

Even if it looks like Mark wins, like another poster posted it looks like Bianca is going ahead with her business so she managed to get funds to set it up. Would be interesting to see how she does compared to Mark because looking at twitter there seems to be demand for her product so I can see Sugar regretting this decision is Bianca pulls it off.

She's only set up a single webpage asking people to register their interest for her hosiery and a twitter a/c with a current grand total of 95 followers.

She hasn't set up a company for it or announced any funding, so looks like she's just trying to gauge interest.

Pretty sure Mark has won now, even without Firespire's info.
