Homechoice & Plasmas

I have HC currently. Should be getting a plasma TV at some point this year, probably 42".

Just wondering about picture quality on a larger screen and if anyone has any particular plasma models that they have seen working especially well (or badly!) with the HC signal.

I appreciate that the MPEG4 upgrade will probably make a difference when they finally ( ) get round to it.

I note people have mentioned House of Fraser in a recent thread but I live in North London (Mill Hill) so a trip to Croydon is a bit out of the way.

Anyone using HC through a plasma at the moment who'd care to share their thoughts/experiences?

Forgot to mention that I saw HC running on a plasma tv at the current Ideal Home Show which looked good (they were showing sport too) but forgot to make a note of the model....

I have a 42 inch Fujitsu and it looks fine on it to me. Some VOD is better than others. BBC and other broadcast channels look good.

one thing i would never have at the moment is a plasma or LCD tv, the picture quality is complete crap compared to a normal CRT screen, so no way would i spend thousands on a crap tele just for the WOW factor

If you buy crap and pay for crap you get crap.

There are plasma and LCD sets available which, with the right hardware, will provide exceptional pictures but you need to supply a decent signal and know how to set it up.

The introduction of fully digital solutiuons using HDMI connectors will improve things quite a bit.
