Its time to let the Fowlers go
Hopefully Martin will come, try patch things up with Sonya, realise its not going to work, and leave. His final scene should be him, Dot and Ian looking though old photo albums, and we hear the voices of Pauline, Arthur, Michelle, and Mark and the camera pans in on 2 photos. 1 is Arthur Pauline, Mark and Michelle early 90's and the other is Pauline and James Alexaudru just before Pauline got her haircut. Julia's theme plays. The Fowlers, in particular Pauline finally get their Julia's theme 30 years after the show started.
Then I dare say they can be laid to rest. With Mark, Pauline and arthur dead, Michelle showing no interest in returning, another recast destroying Martin, I think this once iconic and great family should remain a memory, legendary, like Mary the Punk and some of the originals. After the 30th year is spent looking to and celebrating the past, the 31st year onwards should be about looking to the future, and creating a family who will become as legendary as the Slaters, Fowlers, Butchers, Watts, Di Marcos or Mitchells. |

Maybe not Di Marcos then but I just remember the female domestically abusing the guy, Beppe was huge and him and his brother were the new Phil and Grant at one point.

I think you mean Giovanni, not Beppe. I remember it was Giovanni who was being beaten up by his g/f.
I don't think the Di Marcos were legends, but I do think they were memorable (maybe not all for the right reasons). I didn't hate them, but just like the Carters, there was too many of them at one point. |
