EE: Aleks & Roxy
Where is this storyline actually going? The two hardly ever appear - Given that DTC was the one who created Roxy, surely he'd want to give her a bigger part than a few silly scenes every few weeks or so?
I don't care much for this storyline and I don't feel it adds much to the show. It was interesting seeing Ronnie pay Aleks to like Roxy but it's a bore now. |

The problem with Roxy is there isn't much of a character to start out with. She's a foil for Ronnie to bounce off. When ronnie isn't around she ends up in the background for 2 years with one storyline (Amy's custody - which was also to give another of Ronnie's play things Jack something to do to).
I also think Rita Simons, whilst improved, still cannot carry a storyline of her own. When she had the Danny storyline she was terrible for example. I think if anything Alexs will be a cheater and it will be Ronnie that sorts him out or he leaves with his wife. |

I think he's had enough screentime this year and has brought nothing to the show apart from his nationality. I also think the actor is very bad in the role. |

Really don't see the potential, Aleks is vile and not very entertaining, unless there's a more sinister side to him, I'm really not interested in the character!

Aleks is amazing. His sarcasim, and spark with Roxy has made them one of the funniest couples the show has had in a long time. It's nice having some characters just having fun and living life.

I agree 100%. I think the producers need to sit down and have a discussion as to where they're taking Roxy as a character. I think a depression storyline would suit the character or a storyline where Amy is kidnapped., because her pairing with Aleks is abysmal.

I agree. I adore him.

Roxy is in that band of characters like Abi & Tamwar who I feel could be axed but could survive with some character development, let's be honest unless Rita Simons is axed she won't leave but the character of Roxy is going around and around in circles.

Or they could just keep it secret. I kinda like it if becomes a family secret that festers for years and comes out on the 50th anniversary. |

I like Aleks and Roxy.
I disagree that Roxy needs Ronnie, it's just that when Ronnie wasn't there she was either underused or involved in a boring love triangle with Kat & Alfie. The writers should be blamed for that no one else. Roxy's a lighter character than most, rarely getting the intense material that others do, but that doesn't make her a bad character at all. Chrissy is right, it's refreshing. |

I agree not all the characters can have big story's all the time.
. The worst thing about Aleks and his storyline is it's a mishmash of all the most tired overused gimmicks in soaps: secret wife, secret child, cheating, will they wont they, who will he choose. I wish he'd be clawed, picked up a flown away by an eagle. ┊┊┊┊┊╱▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔╲┈ ┊┊╱▔▔╲╭╭▂▂▂╮╮╮╮╲ ┊╱┈┈▃▕┊┊╲▉╱╭╭╭╭▕ ▕┊┈┈┈┈▔▔╲┈╮╮╮╮╮▕ ▕┊╱▔▔▔▔▔╱┈╮╮╮╮╮▕ ▕╱▔▔▔╲▔▔┈╮╮╮╮╮╮▕ ┊┊┊┊┊┊▏╮╮╮╮╮╮╮╮▕ Unlike Roxy he's a character that I just can't see the producers taking anywhere. Hopefully the intention never has been to renew actors contract. A competent actor plagued with the bleakest of characters ![]() Shame he had potential once upon a time. Not a bad looking actor either. |

All our Roxanne cares about is where her next free Piņa Colada is coming from

I like Aleks and I hope they don't make him too sinister, he suits the scoundrel role quite well and I'd like to see his character go down that route.

not sure he will be (unless Ronnie kills him!) because otherwise with Ronnie now with Charlie it limits Roxy's involvement even more. I think they will keep him on for her.

I love Aleks and Roxy together they're great. Roxy has never really worked well with any of the men she has been paired up with over the years Aleks is the first one that she actually has chemistry with. I'm not sure where they're going with this storyline now Aleks has cheated on her with his ex-wife their relationship is kind of tainted now. I was hoping they would become a long term couple.
