Recently my Twitter account has been taken over and tweets all by itself, a lot of Turkish text.

Its also retweeting other tweets from similar accounts and has added about 250 extra followers / following.
I managed to unassociate it from Facebook, and have changed the password, and deleted all the tweets I could and unfollowed all the offending users.

All was well for about a day - then its all started happening again.

Short of binning the account and starting again, what else can I do to stop this.

set up 2 factor authentication.

Make sure your email account isn't compromised - it will be used to reset your password.

Also check which apps have permission to tweet on your account and remove any you don't know

Assuming your Twitter username is @AyrshireDJ, I'd suggest revoking TweetDeck as this is the app doing all the spam.

As I said before remove the Tweetdeck permission. You do it from this page https://twitter.com/settings/applications
