Is it just me but does anyone else think there is far too many nominations for this award? 24 all together. Full list of Nominations here:
http://www.soapsquawk.co.uk/news/nat...st.php#results How many make the shortlist, does anyone know? My top 5 would be in order: Alison King- Carla Barlow/Connor Marc Baylsis - Rob Dovanan Kellie Bright - Linda Carter Adam Woodyatt - Ian Beale Chris Gasgoyne - Peter Barlow Who would like to see make the shortlist and win? |

Really torn between Emma Atkins and Verity Rushworth. They've both been just brilliant. Jason Merrells has been so good as well.

I think William Travis who played the "evil" Neil Beckett in Corrie should be on that list. That rooftop protest and the ordering pizza's to the cab office was gripping to the last, far better than this who killed Lucy Beale tosh.

1. Alison King (Corrie) - In my opinion, she has really shone this year - throughout the Hayley story, the affair reveal, the murder storyline and Carla's miscarriage. I also love Carla's friendship with Roy.
2. Emma Atkins (Emmerdale) - She has been fantastic throughout the Declan and Charity storyline. Charity is a very convincing soap villain and I honestly think she's one of the best characters on the show. She's very entertaining! I always want her to get her comeuppance but even now, when she has brought it all on herself, I know I will end up feeling sorry for her. 3. Kellie Bright (EastEnders) 4. Adam Woodyatt (EastEnders) 5. Danny Dyer (EastEnders) |

Linda Henry, definitely. 5 times over. Me and my friends all voted for her, she deserves an award!
Kellie Bright has been good the past few weeks but Linda Henry has been brilliant for the past 8 years!

But it is a long list after all, by definition there have got to be a lot of names on it. I'll be voting for Adam Woodyatt but if we're going to do a top 5 it would be Adam Woodyatt Chris Gascoyne Jeff Hordley Verity Rushworth Stephanie Waring |

Tough call. I'll be voting for either Verity off of Emmerdale or Adam off of Eastenders. Probably Verity.

It should go to Verity Rushworth for how affecting and suprising her acting was, her video to April in particular go to me and I just wanted it to stop,
Or Emma Atkins who 's been fantastic. She has delivered lots of energy and variety in her performance and I hate Charity delighted she's suffering but shes probably the best soap bitch ever now certainly the best acted I can think of she makes someone like Janine of Eastenders look like a caricature. And I thought Charity's return had been a bit uneventful until now. But I think shes managed to be more detestable than her first stint with probably less severe crimes and the acting has a lot to do with it shes amped her cunning, spite and selfishness in a natural manner while displaying guilt and fear convincingly. Jason Merrels has been very good too his acting has noticeably improved since the abuse of his sister began and his involvement with Charity, Declan was in a bit of a slump too after the Wyldes left, he was being made a fool by the likes adam and andy but hes transformed into this menacing unstable entertaining character. But obviously none of them will win |

She has been brilliant for 8 years so I'm pleased she has finally been acknowledged.

Yeah, I know what you mean but I think she deserves to win, Linda Henry is incredibly underrated for how good she is. I think she will get quite a decent number of votes though.
