Big Brother is the most juvenile, uneducated and unimaginable crap ever to be constructed by some brainless cretin of a producer to infest British Television.

I have never seen such idiotic nonsense in 50 years of TV. The entire concept is an intelligent viewers sickening nightmare of utter childish and peanut brained crap.

If that is the criterion of British viewers intellectual ability - God help the countries future.

Oh just calm down and stop being very bitter about a programme that is the complete opposite of the descriptive words you've just posted, I have infact seen much more idiotic nonsense on TV, such as those lame and overrated sporting events (especially football), depressing and boring soaps such as Deadenders and Abdication Street and programmes that have stolen Big Brother's format and tried to make it look like their own (IACGMOOH, 71 Degrees North).

I think that your opinion is just pure bitterness and hatred against this iconic TV programme and please don't lash out at me just because I don't agree with you.

Maybe for the last 5 years or so. But before that it was the most groundbreaking a clever television show in history and will always go down that way.

No not "trolling", just expressing my honest opinion. Every person on Earth criticizes or dislikes something, which when expressed is bound to upset others with a different opinion. I am afraid that is life. It would be a very odd world if we all thought the same.

To accuse a person of "trolling" just because they express an opinion albeit in harsh terms, which disagrees with your own opinion is rather bad form.

I am aware that BB has a big following, Perhaps it is a generation gap thingy, I don`t honestly know, but I do know I consider it to be an intolerable compilation of utter rubbish. It does not even qualify as light entertainment.

To disect BB: What you see in the programme is a group of people reaching for something they want (but don't know) assuming it to be that of fame.

What these people actually want is not fame, but peace in themselves which in turn gives access to greater, more real and valuable aspects to life. Instead, they act on impulse from the ego mind assuming the goal to be apparent, with some people acting abruptly and selfishly to attain that goal.

In the same manner of respect, your demenour demonstrated in your post (though I'm sure you are a great person) shows that you, yourself aren't at any great distance from the aforementioned people, since you too are in yearning for a goal which you can't place.

As a summary, you have reacted to the actions of those acting in a bid to reach a goal they don't know, in an attempt to reach a goal that you don't know, feeding into the delusion with the same abruptness, thus amplifying it's potency unable to ever resolve.

This (life) is the game, whether you are in the house, or in your own house. You are part of it all. What you see then as the person who is critisizing not just the individuals, but the entirely of the show, you are identifying with the fact that you don't agree with a significant part of your life and you are calling upon yourself for significant change.

You are them. It is you and you will always see yourself and your circumstances in them and it.

Also, you haven't given us anything to work with here. Did you watch 10 seconds or a whole episode or a dozen? Which series have was it? What happened? Give us a story or an argument or something. Show us what an intellectual viewer can do.

It's not as simple as an age thing - there are some real old codgers and biddies on here.

BB has been plodding on since September 1999. Some years ago I did watch few episodes in curiosity and hope that the show would be worthwhile watching regularly.

I stomached as much as my gut could take, puked up in a bucket and never gave it another second of screen time since. I do know it has progressed to an even lower level of crap and nonsense, a progression I would never have believed possible.

Big Brother UK started in 2000.

Well exactly. It's not polite to barge into a specific forum just to tell everyone posting in it that they are idiots.

As a matter of fact some of the most intelligent, thoughtful and analytical posts I have ever seen have been in this forum. I don't like the direction BB has taken recently, but that doesn't mean that those debating it are not sometimes touched with brilliance.
