EE - when will Linda reveal the truth?
Firstly, I think Kellie Bright is playing an absolute blinder in this storyline but it's horrible seeing Linda so distressed and I've seen peole on here say Linda won't tell anyone until christmas. It's so sad seeing the once bubbly and full of joy character now absolutely petrified
Has it been confirmed that the reveal won't be until around xmas? I was hoping it'd be in a few weeks or end of November at the least. I just want Linda to get the support she needs and Dean to get his comeuppance

Sadly, someone came up with the stupid idea to drag this out until Christmas. If they carry on focusing on Linda when she's like this I can see the viewership decaying.
Even after we get the reveal, sadly Dean will get away with it. If they don't announce his departure, I will also have to stop watching. |

Why they have to drag stories like this out as much as they can I don't know. Still don't know who killed Lucy, but who cares now anyway.

I just worry the longer she doesn't tell anyone, the longer Dean will be able to twist things, and probably get away with it. But then I suppose the people closest to her will know the truth. Mick knows the way she has been lately. You wouldn't be like that if you had just had a one night stand.

Hopefully soon but I guess Christmas. I think it might be the case that she tells somebody but Dean manages to twist it before being found out at Christmas.
I do know it's been written that way but why on earth aren't her family acting more concerned? They're acting like she's just being 'a bit miserable' yet she's clearly distraught. |

Apart from Mick the Carters don't even seem to notice that Linda is clearly distressed.
There have been clear signs that they care about her, but it's not been obvious as to the reasons for her distress. |

It can take years for someone to admit they've been raped, look at Kat and Ronnie .Linda was however all ready to tell Sharon, but Sharon then asked Linda if she'd encouraged him. Fair enough she didn't realise how serious it was but Linda had second thoughts from that moment. With Dean carrying on as if it was consensual she knows now it's going to be her word against his.
I'm glad they're not rushing this, it would be unrealistic. |

If someone in your family is that distressed or ill or worried you dont stop till they tell you....her behaviour including not dressing up or even brushing her hair is so totally different that its not just headaches, Mick should chuck everyone out, close the pub and beg her to tell him until she does. |

Indeed. Sorry to some posters who are bored of Linda not telling anybody but this is why rape conviction rates are so low. Women don't speak up soon enough. Look at Linda, she's scared Mick will cause serious harm to Dean and that she'll lose him, she doesn't think her best friend or daughter will believe her and she knows that it'll divide the family if she speaks up.
They need to get Linda to talk to someone even if its calling a helpline or talking to a stranger just someone who she can vent to and maybe they guide her. Shame Kat is not on the square. |
