I personally wouldn't like to see this become a thing.
I mean it's hard enough to stop these candidates playing their own games trying to pin and dodge the blame when they get the slightest sniff that their team might be losing.
At least if it remains that the winning team is totally safe then it brings them together with some sort of camaraderie and with one goal in mind, as working together as a team should be the main focus. Not constantly trying to outplay eachother.

Having said that, maybe in a really extreme circumstance a long way into the process would I agree with it. When there's just a few left on each team and one of the candidates is just not pulling their weight and getting a free ride from others.

The narrow boardroom escapes of quiet characters all the way through to Week 9/10 has caused a problem at times as well. Howard from Series 5, Lohit from Series 2 and Paul from Series...3? made it virtually to the end just because they barely featured in the boardroom. AS perhaps should have demanded they come in to the boardroom at some point.
I'm certainly not much of a Howard fan but it seems a bit unfair to put him in a category of candidates that slipped the radar and got too far. He did end up being brought back to the boardroom as early as week 2 (the week after being PM) so if Sugar thought he was really that appalling then he would have had enough ammunition to get rid of him.
He did kind of float along for a bit after that, but then in the Margate task he put his neck on the line by coming up with the 'gay' theme. When the team lost, Sugar basically said that it would have been unfair for Howard to be brought back in after putting so much into the task.
Having said that I think it was right for him to go the week he did, as I think he was too much of a "Steady Eddie" as Sugar put it. But overall he seemed quite capable.
Didn't Yasmina also choose him first when assembling her team for the final?

I wouldn't want this, unless there had been a clear breach of the rules. Weakness will out.

Not the same show of course but once on Hell's Kitchen a really poorly performing contestant who happened to be on the winning team got eliminated. The point was to say - there's no hiding place, and you can't coast on the hope your team mates performances would save you.

It could only used in very rare extreme circumstances tho
