Have you tried a reset to default?

1 Pull out the power input for 10 minutes
2 Try a different cable (or make sure existing plugs are firmly pushed in) 3 Try a different hdmi port on the TV 4 Make a note of your recording schedule and carry out a reset to factory defaults. |

Do you have some other device with HDMI out (preferably something you have seen working via HDMI) that you can plug into the telly to check that the HDMI ports on the TV are in fact working?
Alternatively another TV with HDMI ports you know work that you can plug the Humax into? Trouble is at the moment you don't know for certain if it is the Humax or the TV if all you have are those two devices. Hence testing the TV with another device or the Humax into another TV. |

Graham & Chris,
I removed the HDMI cable from the Humax and plugged it into my Blu-Ray, all ok so not cable or TV! As mentioned in my earlier post, the option for setting the resolution during setup was greyed out. Graham |

During setup have you got both Scart and HDMI connected?
If so what happens if you remove Scart from the box and turn on with just HDMI connected? |

Hi GONZO,
The SCART has to be connected during setup as there are no signals from the HDMI. If I remove the SCART and turn the power on with just the HDMI connected then are no signals on the TV. Graham |

Graham One last question during the reset were you offered a output resolution ? If so what did you choose ? If 1080p you could try 1080i. Otherwise I would get it replaced. |

One of my customers had this with a Philips TV recently. It was a handshaking issue. By turning on the TV first and waiting for the HDMI banner to appear and then turning on the STB it worked fine but not the other way round
