but his dickishness overshadows his looks
James, especially in those shorts, really stands out; since he's also the local boy for me I am really tempted to vote for him but he is just a little too preened. I'm therefore voting for Sanjay instead, he may be big headed but actually I think he probably is better looking than 9 out of 10 people!

Not all Indians/Pakistanis are dark-skinned.
Seriously though, his surname suggests one of his parents may be Indian/Pakistani - a Sood (seems a Hindu name?) - and his other parent may be ethnically white, e.g. a Smith. There's also a possibility that his parents simply liked the name.
Steven for me, in joint 1st place with Sanjay who I reckon is Anglo-Indian (in response to the poster up thread), and Solomon. If I could vote for all 3 I would!

There's nothing wrong with finding a more masculine white man more attractive than a more effeminate black man. Different strokes for different folks etc. And James' thuggish background is unlikely to come into the conversation for many people because a) he doesn't act like a thug and b) he was winning this poll long before anyone knew about his past.
