It's OK but you know Corrie is going back too being s*it again next week when this finishes don't you? Off back to the Kylie/Yasmeen rubbish... it's not to last

Agreed.
I like courtroom scenes in anything really.
I know it's probably not realistic for Carla to stand with her hands in her pockets editorialising, but it was such a good scene.
I'm loving the courtroom drama. Corrie is my favourite soap. The only soap to have humour in it with Tracy especially. I think she's great in it. Wonder what will happen to her character when Rob leaves. Hope she'll move on to somebody else. Hope Peter is found not guilty as I don't want him sent to prison for something he didn't do. Will Rob be found out? Anybody know any spoilers they're happy to post. I know it spoils the suspense but I love to know before hand.
Can't wait either. I doubt this story is anywhere near over, and it's ptobably Corrie's only saving grace at the moment. I think (this isn't actually a spoiler but will hide it just in case)
Spoiler
Peter will get found not guilty, the investigation will start up again, they'll charge Carla (she's going on a break isn't she?) and then Rob will finally confess, leading to his exit.
TheI've got my fingers and toes crossed hoping for a not guilty verdict.
The look on Rob's face if that happens will be the soap highlight of the year!
I always love a good trial and this one has been great with the performances from Carla, Peter and Rob. the more it unfolds the more I think it's a shame we'll be losing Rob as he could have become a classic Corrie character. He works brilliantly with Tracy and is really shining in this storyline.
Slightly spoiled by pointless "comedy" from the woefully unfunny Norris and Mary but at least they're taking more of a back seat now.
I'm pretty sure Ken is going to work out what really happened to Tina. When the prosecution lawyer said that "the evidence places the murderer as residing at the dwelling", it registered with him.....you could see his brain going into overdrive

Possibly, he will be arrested at the altar - at the very moment of saying, , " I do."
Looks like I could be in a minority of 1 here, but it all seems so rushed. I am guessing that last nights episode was day 5 of the trial. I would have thought that a murder trial would last at least 2/3 weeks and then some.
I was losing interst in the trial and then started to notice small things. Does Wiiliam Roache wear a hearing aid in his right ear I am sure I saw something in his ear last night right at the start of the episode
One of the jury is even more tangoed that Tina ever was.

If he's found guilty, it wouldn't say much for the British legal or criminal system. A botched investigation by the police and bringing a case against Peter on the flimsiest of evidence and then a jury actually convicting him on that flimsiest of evidence, when you'd expect them to throw it out of court.

I think in a real life case, he would certainly be found not guilty. We know he was having an affair with Tina and that he had a big row with her that night, but there was very little hard evidence presented in court to say that he had actually killed her (nor did the prosecution ever come up with a proper motive : why would he kill her when it was he who revealed details of the affair to Carla a few minutes later and how would he propose to get away with murdering his mistress in cold blood?).
