Streaming live at 6pm.
Will we get the Chinese commentary again!

Should see the release of OS X Yosemite and a mention of iOS 8.1 to add apple pay etc..
Rumours seem to be on an apple tv update or even an ipod update for the 'its been so long'.
The apple tv in my view is better served elsewhere now by chromecast and the new android tv player announced yesterday.

Still, the apple events are always enjoyable to watch.

Those are Mac computers rather than iOS devices. They will probably release more info on the latest Operating System - Yosemite.

I'm hoping for a retina HD display for Ipad Air.

I'm really excited. These new iPads should be the best yet and an essential upgrade for everyone. I'm hosting a little party here with my friends - live stream, beer, snacks and a smash your Android device contest at the end.

Have fun everyone! This is gonna be another huge event for everyone who loves great technology.

iPad Air 2 looks impressive - amazingly thin and greatly improved graphics performance.

Well you were disappointed!

It is interesting that the existing iPad Air and iPad minis are being retained (but at $100 cheaper).....Apple seem to be coming around to a wider range for different types of customer.

IOS 8.1 next Monday - for anyone that missed it!

Great to see Apple finally realising not everyone wants to spend hundreds of pounds on their products for whatever reason.

Granted £199 is still dear for an iPad Mini but it's a step in the right direction!

The new iPad Air 2 looks good even though I am a bit disappointed that the only upgrade the iPad mini 3 got was the touch ID button and the additional gold colour option.

Yep. iPad mini got a very minor refresh - just touch ID. But i notice like the other Apple devices released this year, they've dropped the 32GB and made the 64GB the mid tier version. At least they've dropped the iPad Mini with Retina display moniker and now call last year's version the iPad Mini 2 officially.

Surely it's time to ditch the 16gb models. 32gb should be the minimum. The good news is the 64gb wifi version is priced at £479, the same as last years 32gb Ipad Air which has now dropped to £359

I've been waiting for a long time for this. I still have the iPad 1G which is literally on its last legs now (poor thing). It's served me well but will now be relegated to the bedroom.

I'm surprised by the price. It seems very reasonable. I'm sure that the last time I looked at the price of the iPad Air, it was £629 so I'm surprised to see this one is £559.

I would have liked to see a new Apple TV with 24fps capability but this will do me for now.

Well could have been more but still not a bad upgrade.

16GB is a poor offering surely 32GB will make a return next year to replace the 16GB?

On the other hand if you usually buy 32GB you get 64GB for the same price. So I could fork out an extra £80 quid and get 32GB more than my current Ipad Air so I may have to decide if I upgrade as I may skip next years update.

Not expecting a redesign next year prob another Air wouldn't surprise me if this one is short lived like the Ipad 3 and if they did announce the Pro in the spring they quickly release another Air. Regardless of that I don't see it being a massive upgrade prob just A9, Maybe better retina or a curved display like Iphone and maybe split screen multi tasking.

I'm sure over the months it could be further cut to £179 which should maybe tempt a few people to Ipad over those cheap tablets. For a little extra they get a more efficient tablet.

So far, the Hudl 2 at £129 seems like a pretty powerful machine. £70 will get you 128GB of extra storage too.

I'm pleased about this. I've been toying with getting an Air for a few months and i'm so glad I waited. I'd convinced myself that it would be worth splashing £479 on the 32gb (as you say, 16gb really isn't worth bothering with!) so i'm thrilled to see 64gb at that price now.

Last year Tesco had money off the iPad Air (£30?) soon after launch, Currys had £50 by cashback in the month before Christmas and John Lewis did 3-year warranties. It will be interesting to see if anything similar happens this year!

I've got an iPad Air 32Gb and can't see any reason to upgrade it to the newer version - faster cpu? I don't game so what I have is quick enough, touchID and thinner? meh doesn't warrant an upgrade, although having 64Gb would be nice, but not at Apple prices and I expect when I do upgrade my tablet it'll be to an Android one with a card slot.

I see that the smart cases are currently unavailable on the Apple site. I hope they sort that out ASAP. I can't buy a new iPad unless I have something to protect it.

I got a nice iPad Air case from Amazon for LOT less than Apple charge. I guess, however, it will be a few weeks before cases for the new iPad Air 2 appear!
