S Club 7 Reunion
Been reported about a lot over the years but seems to be pretty much confirmed with a official Twitter account now out there?
https://twitter.com/sclub7 I'm all for it. They were the epitome of my childhood so it would be amazing to get to see them again (and hopefully Rachel does some of her solo songs!) |

I'm quite happy to admit I was a fan back in the day but time has not been kind to the voices of Jo, Bradley and Paul and they are three of the four leads. They will probably get a decent selling nostalgia tour but other than that, it won't go anywhere IMO.
Steps at least had Claire, Faye and H who can all still sing well and were the only three who ever really sang, unfortunately S Club don't even have that. |

S Club 7 were my childhood but I really don't think this reunion will work. They were a product of their time and their brand of cheesy pop wouldn't last 5 seconds in the 2014 music scene. They won't gain any new fans so it's really only a nostalgia thing. I saw the S Club 3 performance from Australian TV and I wish I hadn't seen it as it ruined all my good memories of them

I definitely agree with both of your posts however I think Bradley still sounds okay. I think them three especially from looking at their mini gigs will really need to put in serious effort to sound okay.
Rachel, Jon, Tina and Hannah look pretty good all things considering. |

I'll be interested to see how it pans out, is Jo doing it in her white dressing gown?

Quality of the vocal wont matter, they can just go to the studio to record "live" tracks and use them for the concerts.

They're also all really... let's just say they've lost a lot of their looks and charm and maybe dancing ability too which were all a big part of their success.
I bet people will go to the first concert but then after there's been reviews of it attendance will drop like a rock. |

It's definitely happening. Children in Need apparently, although I suspect it'll lead on to a tour of some description.

Loved S Club but their music took a major dip in quality towards the end and I wasn't sad to see them leave the pop world.
Glad this is happening, but just hope it's for a tour and then a goodbye. |

This could potentially be car crash horrendous! Rachel, Tina, Hannah and Jon look healthy and are looking good. However, the others aren't looking so good and all of them have obviously aged. I was in a club not too long ago and Jo, Bradley and Paul were performing as a 3 piece and it was horrific. The fact that there's 7 of them won't help either...7 middle aged people standing on a stage trying to re-create their youth. It's just going to be so cringy.

The question is are there any pop acts that can actually do a Take That and at least equal their previous success with new music?

I never rated them much the first time and that peformence three of them did on Aussie TV was one of the worst showbiz car crashes I've ever seen.
I can't see them getting much out of this reunion in the long run. I am also truly sick of every band and their mother reuniting. It's so tacky and desperate and obvious at this point. |

The only problem will be if Jo can't hold a tune anymore.
Last time she was wheeled out to sing on national telly she sounded awful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAjN4oRkFAM |

Was a fan at the time, and still am as their songs are still among my music of choice for treadmill running. I am pleased to hear about the reunion but purely for nostalgia reasons. I can't see them being successful again although it might get some of their songs back into the charts.

Is the blond racist one returning? The one that bullied the pakistani girl along with Jade Goody on Big Brother?

Hearing whispers from well placed sources that a reunion arena tour for April/May 2015 will be announced straight after the Children in Need performance and go on sale the following week (22nd November).
