As it has been said to do this show they have to totally sell out on their genre of music. So, you have to question their artistic integrity. Do they really love the music ? They do know they are going to have to sing pop songs when it's over ??? I don't know, but in my mind it seems like anything for a buck than really loving their music. Discuss.

I really like Bo and really dislike Constantine - although I give him credit for singing a Motown song this week. He took a risk and it paid off....Kinda.

Just because they BOTH have long ,hair and wear leather etc .... shouldn't mean the should be catagorised the same .. they have different voices... that is like saying Anwar and david brown were the same "type" because they had dreadlocks... I hope American Rock fans vote for both .. I Really hope they vope on the vocals , regardless, because thats the issue , whose CD will you play in you car ?
ps .. my 12 year old boy has longer hair than Bo .. he sings anything from , Jackson, carpenters, Les Miserables tunes , and Bon jovi ... and more even del shannon from the 60's

These contests are all about image now and nothing else.
I closed my eyes and listened to Bo Bice singing Spinning Wheel and his singing voice is awful, if someone like Anthony Federov had sung that song in that voice he wuld have been slated because the image was all wrong.

Last week Simon made fun because he sang a latin song , even though he was fantastic, but he doesn't look right does he.

It's a sad world when we need to have long hair and prowl round the stage in an aggressive manner to woo the judges and the public.

Whatever happened to good old singing? Oh I forgot that went out of the window years ago.

After al how often do we see artists live as opposed to listen on the radio or listen to CD's etc. I guess we listen 90% and watch 10% so that is the bias that should be put on the judging 90% voice 10% performance

Go and see Daniel Bedingfield in concert - you get 100% voice and 100% performance.

Television is a visual medium - the performance will always take centre stage over the voice. There are many superb singers who didn`t win AI or PI (or even Fame Academy).......the reason being that people respond to what they see, not always what they hear. Hence the reason some folks have commented they listened to Scott whilst doing something else and thought he was very good........but sitting actually watching him gives a different view.

Performance is the key. Fantasia won it last year with her OTT rendition of songs like "Summer Time" and others. She didn`t have the best voice but her performances (and "yeah yeahs" ) won it for her.

Anwar looks good, has a good voice, but his lack of performance skills will lose him AI. He has no spark, no zest for life.

Bo & Nadia are the key performers IMO. The rest aren`t in the same league.

I cannot, cannot see the 'thing' about Constantine. I cannot see this man's attraction in anyway at all.

Smoldering Idol? Simon must be drunk. Not a bad singer but not a great singer.

Connie couldn't hold a cook's match to Bo. No comparison.

Yo Zippidy Doo Dah!

Didn't you like Constantine at the start?

But you're right about him being unable to hold a match to Bo, who is my favourite of all the boys. As always, I'm a sucker for a husky voice.

Haven't seen ya about for a while....have you been cleaning your windows? lol

In your opinion. I disliked her voice and OTT performances from the start. I accept she was the chosen one but I sure didn`t like her.

PS. I`m on planet earth.

I don't think Bo has sold out at all, he has managed to stay within his genre so far, and has IMO chosen his songs wisely. Constantine on the other hand has been all over the place with his choice of song, I don't know many "rockers" who would choose to sing Mowtown and The Partridge Family !!!!

I don't get the whole constantine things, he is so up himself, it makes me cringe to watch, I have got to the stage I just fast forward his performance.

Exactly. I always get the impression he spends a lot of time looking in mirrors. His singing is not up to much, and his performance skills are aimed squarely at very young women who have not yet learned discernment. At the end of the day, he's far more image than substance, and that will eventually get him booted out.

I just cannot see the looks thing with Connie at all. Bo is in a different class - looks too.

Well he is quite good looking!

I think he`s aiming primarily for the teenie-market and all those teen magazine covers. I think he`ll do very well. After all - teen idols don`t necessarily have to have great voices!

I`ll be very surprised if he wins AI though.....primarily for the reasons you`ve already stated.
