Rich, black, moist Christmas Pud recipe?

Can anyone supply me with, or direct me to, a recipe for a proper dark christmas pudding?
My cake always turns out nice, but I never seem to get my pudding moist or black enough?

That looks proper dark...thanks, aggie.
And,Toby, I'm sure I can add a bit of brandy to the recipe. Nothing's set in stone

I've added it to my favourites.

I always use this Be-Ro recipe:

http://www.be-ro.co.uk/f_insp.htm

I've used it for years and it's always wonderful. The only way I vary from the recipe is to use butter instead of suet and I add maraschino cherries that I've soaked in brandy for a few weeks

We have always used Delia Smith's receipe from her Christmas cookery book.
