I somehow don't see Elaine suspecting that Dean raped Linda and it doesn't fit in with

If Linda tells Elaine the truth, Elaine won't allow Dean to walk around like nothing happened. She would tell Mick and Mick would go on the warpath. I'm guessing Elaine will suspect an affair/one night stand or that Dean is chasing after Linda, which will lead to Linda admitting that Dean made a pass at her a few months previously and that things are awkward because of that.

Elaine is a wonderful addition to the family and a lovely Grandma. I still smile whenever I think of her setting Johnny up with that guy at the bar

Thanks for the thread. I think Elaine suspects but I don't think that she thinks it's an affair. There would be no way Linda would freak out that way. She probably thinks that dean is chasing Linda and Linda doesn't like it
