How to connect internet to TV?
Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone knows a way I can connect my TV Logik TV Logik L39FE12 to my PC? I have done it with a HDMI cable but would prefer to do it wirelessly? Does anyone know how? and what I would need? I have a NOW TV box, not sure if that helps? Thanks all in advance. |

Somewhat confused, the title says connect internet to TV. You can't do that with a HDMI cable. Suspect you mean display the PC pictures on the TV. You may be able to use a miracast dongle on the TV and casting software on the PC.

If you are using a desktop PC then presumably you are not wandering all over the house with it? In which case if the cable is not trailing across the floor presenting a trip hazard then keep it.
A cable is a far more reliable method of connecting two devices together than wireless by and large. So if the PC and telly are in close proximity then there is little to no point going wireless IMO, |

Now megaconfused
Your first post Perhaps we need to start again, what input sockets does your TV have ? Converting a displayport socket to HDMI out simply needs an adaptor. eg http://www.expansys.com/startech-dis...7ncaAusJ8P8HAQ my dell computer has I/O Ports: 2 external USB 3.0 ports (rear) and 6 external USB 2.0 ports (2 front, 4 rear); 1 Serial port (optional); 1 PS/2 (optional); 1 RJ-45; 1 VGA; 1 DisplayPort 1.2; 1 Mic-in & 1 Headphone out (front); 1 Mic-in/Line-in & 1 Line-out(rear) I have connected my Laptop to my TV before but never my Desktop Dell though which is what I was trying to figure out how to do? as my laptop has different sockets to the laptop. I really wanted to connect my TV with my Dell Computer wirelessly though. But if it can not be done then to connect via a cable. The Dell and the TV are about 10 feet away from eachother but would have preferred not to be using a cable but thats ok if thats the only option. SO what your all saying is it can be done wirelessly (please tell me how) but can be done via a cable and in which case to do it via a cable I would buy a HDMI cable and a -Display-Adapter-Converter http://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-192.../dp/B009YC3W1Y or http://www.expansys.com/startech-dis...ID=1&ADTYPE=10 and connect the HDMI end to the TV and put the -Display-Adapter-Converter on the other end and connect that to the Dell Desktop? Is there anyway it can be done wirelessly though? Would this adaptor also work? http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/broadb...30507-pdt.html Is there a particular type of HDMI cable that I need that would work for my TV? As I read there are many types of HDMI cables such as mini HMDIs etc? I no longer have my old one so can not check and dont know what type of HDMI socket my TV has? Would this one work? http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd...16775-pdt.html or http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philex-3m-HD.../dp/B000NJUKDK This is the manual for my TV. http://documents.knowhow.com/TV-Home...nal_120524.pdf |

It depends what you want to display on the TV but it is not a substitute for a HDMI lead. If you want the ability to display absolutely anything on the TV that you could see on a monitor plugged into the PC then a lead is your best option. But if you want to use the PC to send things like iPlayer or similar streaming media services to the TV then Chromecast might do the job. |

Thanks but on the descriptions of those two items they are suppose to do what I need them to do right?. Its just you think maybe the adaptor maybe not good enough a quality yeah?
The reviews of the adapter on Amazon suggest it will do the job.

Get yourself a 5450HD video card for 20 quid and just use a standard HDMI cable.

You may need something else exactly as the resolutions on Pcs and TVs can be different. But I know its a HDMI to HDMI thats why I am going to get that adaptor? I explained that to them? |

If your tv has vga, u could connect using a standard vga cord to the pc.....but it doesn't do sound, u would need additional audio connections input on the TV to allow for this.
