I think the sheer amount of positive views and attitude invested in Nancy by some of the audience on here simply hasn't been demonstrated. It's more like wishful thinking IMO. All of the young ones are friends with Tamwar. They hinted at a little bit more with Nancy and Tam that's all, and not a lovely innocent little bit more, but the snog with Dexter has put paid to that or is the start of a love triangle.
I don't understand how Dexter, a character in a TV show can damage another character. Surely if any destruction was afoot that would be down to the writers and so on. As for getting rid of Dexter, though your low opinions of him seem to form the majority on here they are not necessarily the majority elsewhere and I say thank goodness ![]() Its dumb to blame Dexter for this and that im suprised he is not at fault for the progamme being dire last year. |

What's all this about Dexter being the problem with Cora?
Whatever you think of Dexter, I can't even remember the last time they shared a scene

I saw a comment saying that Cora's actress might have been a good Babe or Elaine. Babe maybe, but I can't see Elaine's huge matriarchal loving grandma presence coming across quite so well with breath laced heavily with fag ash, whiskey, and shame.

Lumping Cora in with Dexter, you never see Cora with Lauren & Abi, if Cora knew Max was dating Summerhayes she would be livid.
Newman caused Cora's downfall by bringing in Dexter & Sam because Ava and Cora never really got off the ground, Dexter & Sam were awful casting choices but DTC axed Ava & San instead of Dexter & Sam leaving Cora without any of her daughters in the Square. . Your point is so invalid. Cora is boring regardlrss of Dexter. If you belive that if Dexter went meant Cora would do more then you will be dissapointed.Cora has been woeful since Tanya left. If Ann M cared about her talents being wasted or being lumbered with Dex do you not think she would have left? |

Cora in my book deserves to be in the show and Ann Mitchell deserves a bit more respect from Dominic Treadwell- Collins. ![]() As has been pointed out I can't even remember the last time Cora and Dexter had a scene together. When thick Mick threw Dexter out of the pub we then saw Cora go out after him which was the nearest we've had in a long while to a scene together. |

Its just a stuipd way to bash Dexter without having the guts to say why they hate him.
If you look at the comments by the usual suspects of Dexter-hate their reasons are ever-changing. One day he is ruining the characters of Nancy, Jay and Lola and the next he is some incoherent, slobbery hornball drooling over every female in the show. The dexter-hate is beyond tedious. It seems people have nothing else to hate from the Newman era or maybe other reasons... |

Lumbered with him
Can they not sack him if he is so bad. Why on earth is it sad for Nancy I like Dexter but can appreciate others don't. However I cannot stand Mick but don't think 'Poor Linda' because she has to work with him. What a bizarre attitude. |

I was hoping Cora was going to confront Linda but she did not and that was poor of DTC to ignore that.

For all those people complaining about other members on here making comments that they're completely 100% allowed to make, instead of showing them the DS exit door, how about you consider not letting it hit you on the way out..
This forum is welcome to everyone - not just a small gang of selfish members. Stop clogging up the forum with your sickly nostalgic memories of how things used to be. THINGS CHANGE. Deal with it.. ![]() everyones entitled to their opinions on everything. will agree and have learnt sometimes its best not to share what you really think. I like Dexter and I definately do not think he is there to box tick or that this is an attempt to save his character. at the end of the day they could of sacked him and didnt that shows tptb at eastenders have faith in the award winning actor. I like him and nancy but I also like Nancy's friendship with tamwar be nice to see where it goes. I am of the opinion dexter is a background/filler character not a main one and think nancy will end up with tamwar |

I don't understand how Dexter could ruin Cora?
It doesn't make any sense. They hardly share scenes so how can he drag her down? I don't get this particular line of Dexter hate and disagree with it. In fact I LIKE Dexter! There's nothing wrong with him in my book.

Why did Priscilla leave, Keyser? She was really nice & a great and balanced FM to talk to.
Same question goes to anyone else who may know the answer - sorcha, maybe? Sad to hear it, anyway ![]() I really miss her as she was so much fun.

I think she no longer liked the atmosphere on here and General but perhaps other posters know more than me.

Thanks anyway for your reply back, Keyser - perhaps so, maybe other FM's may come back - can believe that about the atmosphere thing for people, sometimes (very occasionally so!)

I'm wasn't keen on the kissing scene. It was a bit slobbering, maybe it's normal now for those slurp noises?
