I think that comment just shows your lack creativity and how little you value the show. Please get real.

The only one who I think would be plausible would be Cindy, but how realistic would it be for a mother to leave her child for years, with Den it was do able because of his character, Lisa, Frank and Nick was/are only temporary to a s/l, it would be a big stretch for Kathy or Cindy to come back.

There is no point in Cindy coming back. David Wicks has gone, Lucy is dead, Steven is in New Zealand, Simon isn't here and she died in prison. Michelle Collins said she wouldn't come back whereas Gillian Taylforth always says that she would. A mother could leave her child for years if she was suffering from a mental illness brought on by her husband. The reason why they did it with Den was because some wanted to kill him off whereas others didn't. They killed off Kathy and then they quickly regretted it. I have shown how she could plausibly come back and how it could be an interesting storyline so the character is bastardized like poor Dirty Den.

A 'ghost' simply isn't good enough, Kathy should return to the show in an explosive storyline.”

The irony rears its head again...

Perhaps the reasons people don't want this to happen have nothing to do with their storytelling ability or amount of creativity?

I'll just start by saying to this day I'm still a bit miffed that EE killed off Kathy, Tiffany, Cindy and Pat and I wish they could've come back, but ........ Oh my days, not this AGAIN!!!!! FFS what's done is done!

I'm a bit rubbish with attaching things on phones etc but if somebody could attatch the official version of what DEAD actually means, as it may stop quite a few people on here starting endless pointless threads!!!!!

you miss the point of witness protection.

what mother would go into witness protection and not take their child? seriously?

by not taking ben into witness protection she would be putting his life at risk.

but anyways its a moot point. kathy coming back as a ghost should surely tell you she is dead and buried and not coming back

Lmfao, it's just that's too simple to understand for some people I think!

As I've said I wish they hadn't killed off certain characters but you can't sit around thinking oh but maybe they're not really dead etc because let's face it that would render their whole 'death storyline' pointless in the first place!

exactly and the show would be very stagnant if characters just stayed put and never left. you can only have a cast of a certain size and no character changes would limit the stories that could be told

Yep so true and as much as I loved Kathy, Cindy, Tiffany etc I look at the characters who are in the show now and think, how would they fit in now?? Ok I know there's Ian, Sharon, Phil etc but the fact is after any initial big storylines they'd then just be a foil for other new characters storylines and in the meantime any credibility would've been ruined anyhow by bringing dead characters back!

DS makes me smile. Wanting the long dead Kathy back but goes into meltdown at the mention of recasting the very alive Michelle. I would love DTC to have Susan Tully sitting as an extra in Queen Vic and the audience not even noticing.

Sharon and Phil are exhausted characters. It is all a bit tedious.

They just have to make her death worth it by making something out of Ben's character, Hope Harry Reid is kept and he is the last person to play him, im liking Harrys portrayal. Hope he is Not killed off, hope they try! He is Ian's brother too and Phil Mitchell's only Son, the character has potential and not to be wasted in my opinion, otherwise Kathy's death would be pointless, as well as Phil and Kathy relationship, also he is a 90s character with history! They dont have many left!

Kathy is coming back, in the special for Children in Need as a ghost so there's the door is finally shut.

The characters who died are gone. EastEnders may have brought Dirty Den back but it was a one off and no one ever really believed he was dead to begin with. Leslie Grantham was asked back almost every year until he finally agreed. It was always on the cards.

As much as I love most of these dead characters and am looking forward to the Children In Need sketch I think that's the only way dead characters should be seen again. They've sadly (or stupidly) been written out of the show for good. The BBC should make old episodes of the show available so we can see the old characters any time we want. Then we won't miss them as much.
