(I posted this in another part of the forum but maybe here would be better as I've had no replies there.)
I've just bought the Samsung LT24D390SW/XU and was told twice before I bought it by Samsung (I rang again to check as I wasn't sure the first person knew what they were talking about!) that it had all the catch up services I wanted; BBCiplayer, 4OD, ITVplayer and Demand5. So I was expecting them to be installed already but they weren't and they're not in the available apps. On advice from Samsung I have updated the firmware and they have even accessed my TV remotely to see if they could find them. After this failing they told me to contact the companies directly to check that they are compatible. ITV Player say it's not compatible, 4OD say it should be and Demand5 don't work weekends it seems! :/
Does anyone else have this TV? I bought it from Currys but am pretty disappointed, and whilst Currys themselves didn't tell me for definite all those apps were available I feel that Samsung have miss -sold it to me so not sure what to do now, and advice?! Thanks.
Update: Samsung say they'll give me an RA number so I can return it to Currys, (so then I'll be back to square 1 of looking for a 24 inch smart TV) but I'd rather not if I can sort out the problem so any advice would be appreciated!
