EE - last night's EE ending with Linda and Mick
What did everyone think of the last scene of Mick and Linda lying on the bed? I thought it was heartbreaking and really powerful. Mick is anguished because he doesn't understand what's happened to the woman he loves and Linda is suffering an inner turmoil and wanting desperately to tell Mick but at the same time not being able to bring herself to tell him
It was a very unexpected doof doof, yet very effective imo

I thought it was powerful in its simplicity.
I have to say I think the story is being played out really well so far. The way Linda reacted to seeing Dexter and Nancy on the kitchen table was just how I imagine anyone in her position would react. As for Mick, oh to have such a loving, understanding, compassionate partner. If only he were real! |

I did snicker a little at the way Mick was lying. Curse my immature side
![]() But I thought it was a lovely scene. Not doof doof worthy, but great all the same. |

It was amazing. So sad, it really spoke volumes. Whats dreadful about it is that till now we've seen them both so in love with each other. So much so that they can't keep their hands off of one another. Linda was otherwise so confident and a sexual woman, and now she's this. They've really done it so well.

Least Mick could've done is offer to play Scrabble in bed now that sex is off the agenda for the time being
. Poor Mick and Linda just lying there in bed motionless with no clue what to do with themselves. . But yeah, I agree, it was a very sad and sobering scene. |

All the little triggers which set Linda off (e.g. the flowers) add such a sense of realism. |

Agree with your point about Linda's reaction to Nancy and Dexter being on the kitchen table - thought it was very cleverly written that Mick grabbed Linda off Dexter from behind, in the exact same way Dean grabbed her before pushing her onto the table

It was a bit weird, and felt a bit forced.

It was an amazingly powerful scene, it was just a strange way to end the show.

The fact that a scene like this got the doof doof, is what made it all the more powerful. It was definately worthy.

Personally I thought his hand going in between her legs was not quite right for that time slot.

I found it truly moving. It highlighted the devastating effect the rape is having on both characters.
And I agree with the above, the fact that it was a scene like this and not a dramatic cliffhanger moment that got the duff duffs is what made it all the more powerful and heartbreaking. |

Emotional, gritty, raw. Powerful stuff. EastEnders at it's best, and played brilliantly by Kellie Bright and Danny Dyer.

It was very moving and heartbreaking. You can just see how much this is killing Mick to see the woman he loves so much in so much pain and he has no idea why.
Kellie and Danny have so much chemistry on screen and so believable. |

It frustrated me, from Mick's angle. If my wife, who was usually very receptive to my advances, suddenly reacted like that in bed, I'd be really worried and would ask her what is wrong. I wouldn't just lie there looking sad and confused. That might happen after I'd asked her and she refused to tell me, but I would be pursuing it a bit more to start with.
I know Mick has phoned Elaine to bring her down, but he hasn't done much himself in terms of sitting Linda down and really talking to her and listening. It's annoying. |
