It seemed to me that Pixie started crying when she looked at the photograph at the end of the dance. She looked at it once or twice during the interviews afterwards, looked sad and then turned it round so she couldn't see it. Did anyone else notice this and wonder what it meant?

I thought it was the song Stay with Me, which set her off. Has she split from her boyfriend?

Would they let them have their own choice of photo and not just a generic one???

The music ' Stay With Me ' by Sam Smith - about a couple breaking up. She was acting it all out for the rumba, and was overcome by the emotion of it I guess. Her previous dances have been light hearted / romantic, whereas this was one of those angst ridden rumbas with everything going on in it. Quite a few celebrities have become wound up and have cried straight after their dances in the past - quite easy to get caught up in the moment I suspect.

Possibly, to help her "set the scene" and get in the moment, which I think she did very well..

On a similar theme, Pixie has just opened up her stage school for the performing arts in Chelmsford. Hope it does well.

This was my thoughts too. I suspect Pixie has read somewhere that she is just stepping steps and not connecting with the dance, so she tried this. Trent didn't seem that concerned about her either.

I don't know what it is about Pixie, I just can't warm to her.

It just irritated me I am afraid. The dance was fine (I'm not the biggest fan of the rumba) if a little wafty but the 'tears' were just odd. She was so overcome she couldn't even stand up? Really? Just get off the bed and go over to the judges you silly woman!

Or perhaps the emotional impact of the number just got to her. These things do happen and it is very easy for onlookers to be cynical.

I'm obviously less cynical than I thought I was - or she's a better actress. Her being upset or moved or whatever, seemed genuine to me.

There were no actual tears or even moist eyes. It was just (bad) acting.

It was just a wee emote not a full blown cry

it doesn't matter why she was crying, it matters that she did, it was far and away her best dance, had a really genuine sense of meaning and emotion and i think something about the experience connected for her.

I really wouldn't go to some on here if I needed sympathy!

It was a beautiful dance and performing it live in front of the nation made Pixie very emotional.

Yep--old clue is that she was crying Totally Dry 'tears'--yawn. No need as her dancing is excellent as is her partnership with Trent. Fake tears is for the X-Factor, not Strictly.

I agree with this. I don't usually like rumbas but I thought that dance was beautiful and I don't find it hard to believe Pixie got swept up in the emotion of the performance – just as I didn't think Sunetra was a fake when she was moved to tears a couple of weeks back. But then I guess Sunetra is more popular on this forum than Pixie is.

I saw tears. How do we know how she is feeling or what is going on in her life? She is young and is allowed a cry. ( I am not a fan and thinks she already has too much dance experience)
