I thought it was part of the act/dance but they were out of sync with the music by the end and just didn't admit it was part of the dance/act. Maybe the cying wasn't supposed to be part of it per se but walking over and sittign down was but was out of sync.

I looked more like an eye infection than real tears, just saying

i've just watched the dance back (one of only 3 I have bothered to do that with) and there is a little bit of strictly magic that happens there....

its a combination of really very beautiful choreography, well performed, but more importantly deeply felt (at least by her, i'm less sure about him) and a lovely song, beautifully sung, all adding up to something genuinely quite touching and engaging.

not off the richter scale maybe, and certainly not a perfect dace, but i think it was all absolutely genuine, and i like pixie all the better for it (don't think i've even commented on her before...!)

I can actually see that being the explanation. If she had got to the bed and done the crying/looking at the photo thing while the music was still playing then it would have been the choreographed ending to the dance. But she didn't get there in time. The music stopped but she finished that way anyway. Then she looked a bit foolish so carried the 'tears' over to stand with Tess.

It was a stange moment, thats for sure. I wondered if she thought 'thats it, four tens' and milked the moment with the photo...then was a bit shocked 'only' to get 8's....

I think that she was acting...I re-watched their dance again ( which I loved btw ) and I reached the same conclusion....

I enjoyed her performance and have enjoyed all her routines, on this occasion my gut instinct was SHE felt it was a much better performance than it actually was, to MY untrained eye it was very nice but certainly didn't impress as anything special, the judges comments just clarified what I myself thought.

I like her but that was my impression!!

must admit, i didn't really notice, or look for actual tears. more a feeling. but it might have been mine rather than hers

Fake or genuine, she is a very beige celebrity for me.

I thought they were the same crocodile tears that my teenage daughters try on when they've been caught out/want sympathy. And one of those daughters was watching with me and pointed this out! Followed by the comment 'You wouldn't fall for that would you Mum?'

I'm a bit of a lip reader, and I'm fairly sure I caught Trent whispering "I'm never letting you do another ronde de jambe" in her ear at the end of the dance...

Personally I felt it was an act, it all felt a bit fake to me. Although I find her quite a fake person in all honesty.

It just wasn't clear why she was crying. I felt a bit baffled. It wasn't tears of emotion, nor happiness. She looked like a child that had just been chastised.

It didn't occur to me that the tears were not genuine. I think they were about something genuine that we don't know about and maybe she will explain why she cried at some point.

She never explained why she was dry crying. But there dance wasn't that moving.

Agree - I don't particularly warm to Pixie, but if she got really into the "story" of the dance and was acting it, I can understand the emotion carrying on after the dance for a minute. Added to that she *might* have been upset about something else - she can hardly be expected to announce that to prove she isn't putting it on!

I thought I heard her say the word 'incredible' after the tears and before she got off the bed. Did anyone else hear that? Play it back! (Unless it was someone else who said it- Tess?) It might somehow give a clue to what her actual thoughts were during the 'tears' bit!

Do you think so ? To me, the dancers who seem most determined to do well are Simon, Thom and Alison. Unlike previous years, I don't think any of the top four favourites appear to be that bothered.

Yes she's good - as she should be. Check her out on Wiki - she attended the Italia Conti Saturday school before attending the main school from the age of 11 and went on to appear on the West End stage in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I wouldn't normally have a problem with this but I just wish those with previous experience/training would come clean.

Last year Natalie was totally honest about her dance training (she never earned her living as a dancer) but was crucified as a 'ringer.' This time around the previous training of both Pixie and Frankie is being ignored. Both are delightful to watch and I might even vote for them if they just acknowledge that they are not beginners.

In conclusion if Jake started tearing up, without a tear in sight, I would immediately say fake!
