Galaxy Alpha Review
Hi
My Three One Plan contract has now ended and as i don't need tethering im planning on possibly moving networks and thus want a new phone. I did look at an iPhone 5s or 6 but i think i want to stick with Android. I waited for the Nexus 6 but i'm not a massive fan of the size. This lead me to look at the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. It seems to have some decent and some negative reviews but i was wondering if anyone here actually had one and could provide me with an honest review of the phone. Battery life is fairly important but not critical to me. If not the alpha, any other suggestions? (I'm moving from a Moto G 1st Gen) Thanks Ben |

Have a look at the review on Android Central by Alex Dobie as he is reliable guy. Battery life is it's main weakness though.

There was somebody else on here who wanted a Three One plan if you were thinking of ending it.

Mine was with a handset and not sim only so its more expensive that just the sim only package. I'm open to someone taking it though.

If you want a 'small' Android phone, seems like the Z3 compact is better than the Galaxy Alpha.

Yeh I've been reading that one. Seems the camera is a little poor though?

As for the camera, unless you are David Bailey I wouldn't give it another thought.

Thanks for the advice guys. I had a play with all of them at my local carphone/various mobile shops and settled on an iPhone 6. It just felt the most natural to use. Ended up buying it sim free and sacking a payg sim in it as the networks prices were astronomical over 2 years.
