Hello,

Today my EE and Three reception disappeared. I usually get almost full 4G but now 'No Service'.

I have tried reporting things to EE before and I genuinely think they do just feed back generic responses to try and pacify me. Last time they denied there was a problem even though I saw the phone mast on fire before the reception disappeared. Because of this I am reluctant to call and be fed some useless info again.

Has anybody got any idea how long masts take to be repaired if they fail? Is that a 'how long is a piece of string' question? The mast I am (was) served by is a large one with O2 and Vodafone also - but they appear on network searches, unlike EE and Three. It is central city and not rural. Could it be maintenance that runs over a few days?

I am honestly losing my rag with EE. In my area they have become totally unreliable and have a VERY negative reputation.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Calm down and take deep breaths, your mobile telephone has been down for a number of hours on a Sunday.

Usually these things are fixed within 48 hours, it may even have been planned work, if you check the Three coverage map by postcode it tells you when there's planned work.

In the meantime you can probably use wifi and on Three, the backup is ThreeInTouch, which will allow you to send and receive SMS.

Give it 2 working days at most and it'll be back, no need to go mad at the provider, no network promises a fault free service. It is likely a local mast issue like you say, and that may require an engineer visit, which they won't do at night.

Sounds like your local mast isn't the greatest, maybe it set on fire again. Seriously though, I hope you took a picture when that happened?

I don't know how EE are when it comes to faulty masts but Three seem pretty good and have always been able to tell me the situation of a mast if it's faulty or work is being performed.

I had this issue last weekend, tweeted Three Support on Twitter and within the hour I had a reply back saying there was some work on the mast covering my area and it'd be be up shortly. I thought that was really good service

Usually if you tweet at them with your postcode they will have a look for you? I usually find this works better than calling them.

Though a major mast fault affecting 2 operators is bound to have been noticed by now.

EE reception and service in Glasgow has been solid for the last 4 days as far as I have experienced.

Call EE Customer Service and ask for their advice re your service area.
