As I mentioned earlier elsewhere, Tony Bennett was always "second division" in my opinion "in the voice department." I say this despite the fact that I quite like him and have a couple of his albums from decades ago.
He strained to meet the higher notes, but he's always been like that. His phrasing is still OK and he did well enough for a man of his age.
In contrast, "Lady Bacofoil" just shouted, yes, she can hit the note, but there's neither tone nor any jazz feeling.
An odd combination, but I blame Rod Stewart for those who try to follow him, with "song book" type albums, but at least he had an excuse as the less demanding "big band" songs were less of a strain on his voice after the operation on his throat.
At least we got some "big band" style music, more suited to ballroom than some of the occasional crap we have to suffer, we aren't all ex X-Factor watchers.
