Listening to a lot of male pop singers, it would appear that puberty generally comes much later in that profession.

I don't recall ever sitting out "Caballo Viejo" and never will. One of my favourite songs to have a "bop" to. Here is Placido Domingo singing it.

Well I have to say I feel the same way to a degree, Andy Williams had gone and Tony (great guy and legend that he is) looked like he had been badgered to perform at a senior citizens Karaoke night.
It will be interesting to see how long Tom Jones continues to perform-he is 74 now and his voice seems exactly the same as when he burst onto the scene in the 60's.

You start getting these impressions watching this show these days as your mind starts to wander as the show is no longer as good as it was at one time.
At one time on Saturday night when Len was fluffing his lines, he reminded me of this.

Anyway I don't rate any singer that needs a microphone to be heard - other than for recording purposes.
I've never been a fan of Tony Bennett. just not my cup of tea, but last night I thought Lady G was so dreadful - no singing, just shouting, and even that was off key a lot of the time - that she made TB actually sound pretty good!

Can't speak for others, but with Gaga and Tony it was a case of they were both available at the time. Gaga is touring here at present.

I agree with all you have said here Jennifer!...... I thought it was fabulous! and enjoyed watching/hearing the pair of them sing!........
I was only thinking earlier today I will have to investigate Tony's Albums.... he has collaborated with a few singers since Amy Winehouse which I loved as well....... And.............. I want one!.......

You'll find plenty of his recordings on YouTube, from the last fifty years or so, pages of 'em. But you'll have to page down past the many recent ones with, "Miss Bacofoil."

I admit I muted the singing but watched the beautiful dance...the best part of the result show for me.....
I thought it was a lovely performance and the dance was really lovely as well. Also loved that Gaga thanked the dancers - the music and dance really complimented each other well.

Me too, it fitted the show perfectly.
I was expecting nothing from Lady Gaga and she certainly delivered. Tony Bennett wasn't quite as bad as Andy Williams but unfortunately he is quite a way down the slippery slope. Plenty of hype about not very much.

Lady gaga is gaga. She is talented, I mean she really can sing and maybe as well as Babs but all that ridiculous costume stuff just detracts and makes her look silly, and when she is duetting it sort of mocks her partner.
Stop it! just call your self by your name and wear a regular dress.
