You are so welcome Tiddleboo.
I hope that saying inspires you as it still does me to this very day

What a wonderful, brave person, and what an inspiration! I had early stage breast cancer, which was found so early 6 years ago that I am now absolutely fine. But I have a friend, who I met through a support group, who isn't so good, and probably will not be with us in 6 months time. She is an inspration to everyone. She is so funny and realistic.

Imagine this. I took her out for lunch on a windy day. Instead of her wig, she wore a scarf - beautifully and artistically tied. She said it was because she didn't want herself or me having to chase her wig across the restaurant car park if it blew off. What a star.

So, to Lynda, and all those wonderful, stoical people - I salute you, with a very large tear in my eye.

Thanks for that fun and heartening story.

Such sad news, and like others I'm doubly sad that she didn't get to spend one more Christmas with her family, as she so wished. RIP.

I am so sad. I was fortunate to meet Lynda a couple of years ago at a conference on domestic violence (which she suffered in her first marriage) in Worcester. She was an absolutely delightful lady and by the end of the day I felt I'd known her for ever, and we were firm friends.I also met her husband that day so I send him and her boys all condolences and best wishes.
RIP Lynda, you are a special lady.

RIP Lynda ... What a brave lady she was. Her story made me sad when I read it a couple of weeks ago.

RIP Linda. A lovely and brave lady. So sad she did not get a final Christmas with her family. Why is it always the nice one's taken from us early!
