Old news - the scrapped storyline was widely publicised at the time, so I'm not sure why the Mirror thinks it's newsworthy now, years later.

This happened 7 and a half years ago and was talked about non stop at the time.

Both Corrie and EastEnders had to scrap child kidnap stories at that time. Both were widely reported too IIRC.

I think this is the Mirror reporting from that recent interview with The Hat but of all the things to report on I'd have expected something a bit more relevant to current Corrie.
