Following her death do you think they will pay homage to her as a former contestant?

I think it would be nice if they did, but i'm not sure how it would fit into such a fluffy light weight show.
I also don't think any of the hosts or judges have the tact to do it properly

I was hoping they would have put up a photo and her dates at the end as mark of respect. But they didn't!

That would have been the most appropriate way of remembering her. Good thinking

I would guess, if they are going to do it, it would be after Saturday's main show.

The announcement probably came in after they had finished editing the Sunday show so they didn't have time to put anything on screen. Don't forget that all the filming for the "Sunday" show is done after the live show on Saturday.

I am surprised that it was not mentioned on last night's ITT though - I think Lynda is the first ex contestant to pass.

Is it appropriate to mention her death.
It's all over the news, why would SCD do a tribute?
I liked her and it's sad but this show is flashy light entertainment, and it wasn't her regular job so........... I dunno!

I did mean at the end of ITT last night. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

I can't recall if they did anything when Jason died, but there again that wasn't during a run.

You would have thought that they would wouldn't you as she was an ex-contestant on the show. She will be missed.

That would have been a tad premature. She didn't die until the early hours of Monday. They might dedicate next weeks show to her - who knows. Although if that is when they are doing Halloween that wouldn't seem appropriate to me either.

Halloween is traditionally All Hallows' (Saints') Eve - which itself is the day before All Souls' Day - the day of (remembering) the dead.

So really no day more relevant.

Except in Strictly Halloween is a pantomime festival and a bit of fun and in Britain it is now de-linked from All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day in the minds of most of the audience.

there was a contestant in the very first series - Jason Wood - who died in 2010.

I agree as a day to honour our departed loved ones certainly. But not the Gothic Horror way Strictly do it I think.

A tribute show should be Bisto'd upon her. OK, I know it was OXO

Seriously, RIP Lynda

Well they talk about being part of the Strictly family, so I think it would be nice, but I doubt it will happen. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't even remember her on Strictly 😳. Nice lady but up I think other outlets rather than Strictly should do a homage ie Loose Women

Really? Gosh that's sad. I'm definitely not in favour of an homage, but I think it would be nice if a reference was made. Loose Women is a bit different because she was part of that show for years.

Yeah, I think a card at the end of Saturday's programme with her picture, the dates and RIP would be appropriate.

That would be nice, or even a simple statement by Tess at the start of the show.

Bigger things even than Strictly and Loose Women, of course she'll be remembered - by the ones she loved and those she entertained.

I think she showed great dignity and pride facing up to her fate.
