Would you like Jack Branning to come back to EastEnders in future?

Surely after John Bardon dying we can expect a guest stint for the inevitable funeral episodes. At least I'd like to see Jim's children and grandchildren return for brief stints to make it as realistic as possible.

I can't see Jim's death and funeral taking place until well into next year, possibly the summer. They will want to get the whole Nick return and Lucy's murderer reveal out of the way, then probably give June Brown a break before killing off Jim. It would be good to see a few returns for the funeral to make it more realistic.

As for a full time return for Jack - no. He was eye candy for the ladies but never a great character.

I agree that Jim's death will not be happening anytime soon but I fully expect that the character of Jim will be given an off screen death at some point. June Brown is going to probably have most viewers in tears when those scenes air.

I hope not. He was never a character just a cardboard cut out. His relationship with Ronnie was OK to start with but having babies with Roxy, Sam, Peggy he became a joke so did their 'love'.

I would hate for Ronnie to dump Charlie for Jack

Inevitably Scott Maslen will want to come back one day and his friendship with Samantha Womack will always keep that door open as long as she's still on the show. So yeah, I reckon he'll be back one day I just hope when that days come they decide to make more of his character - perhaps exploring his past as a bent copper?

He did Peggy too?!

Ronnie and Charlie are a million times more interesting than she was with Jack.

I'd like a full return of April and Alice
Guest stunted for joey, jack, Robbie

I think Suzy is not of the character not to bother turning up.

I'd have nothing against a Jack return for a few episodes when Jim's funeral plays out, even though he was just a bit dull. Same with Jim's other surviving offscreen kids.

I would of like to see that Miracle at seventy, what a storyline that would of been!

I've never rated Jack, he was a one dimensional character, most famous for being a sperminator to the Mitchell Women!

Ronnie & Charlie far more interesting imo.

How else would we have got the infamous "GERROUTA MAH WOMB " line from Peggy?

He was a decent character, but they could bring back better! Tanya is the only Branning that should return!

Any return should only be brief. As said above he was one dimensional and his super sperm became a joke.

I actually stopped watching EE when he was in it.

To paraphrase Dennis Pennis: "when I saw your acting it was like someone had thrown a chair in The room!"

No thanks. It's in the best interests of all East End women that Jack doesn't return. The birthrate in Walford has become a lot more stable now since he left the Square. Last thing we need is Jack coming back and sky-rocketing it back up.

I'd rather they brought back the Bill and Scott in that but I'm not adverse to an eastenders return as long as they do something with Jack. He was either a background character or shagging someone and having a baby and he is capable of much more

I think next year some time after the 30th, the Brannings will have a big few months for Jim's death offscreen. For this I can see Jack returning for the funeral or even possibly a couple of months?

Yes, the actor was so much better in the Bill. Dunno why he was so forgettable in EE.

me either but I would say it was the writing and eastenders generally not knowing what to do with him more than anything
