The complete all-in-one curling thread.
Due to overwhelming public demand - well, one, rather than have the different competitions seperate, we will put them all in one place.
So here it it; and for new viewers the major tournaments are as follows; World's Men and Women (Spring) European Men and Women (Late Autumn) Curling Champions Tour M+W (All season) and then various others eg. World Juniors, European Juniors, World and European Mixed/Mixed doubles as and when. Vast majority of tournaments are live, and for free, with video vaults of full games via the web, mainly World Curling Federation's youtube and Curling Champions Tour's youtube. This weekend 24-26th Oct it's CCT's Champery Masters (M). |

I don't currently sub to Eurosport but will bang in for a month to cover the Euros and the first biathlon rounds if they are on. Elephant in the room is that both the biathlon and curling may be available on youtube and their own websites....although geo-blocking may kick in. I seriously need to know how to get rounfd youtube geoblocking - for free if possible? But whatever, you can guarantee on Eurosport that Scotland will be one of the under-featured teams, as usual ![]() Meanwile - Champery Masters this weekend and I'll be at the Edinburgh International early next month, mainly to have a look at Brewster's (new) rink if I can get close to the sheet he's on! |

Eurosport trailers for November are showing curling as being on. Biathlon is streamed live to the IBUs website, but no commentary.
However last year Eurosport did not show the women’s world championships in Canada – only the mens in Europe. I wasn’t sure if that was down to the rights or the timings (i.e. most games were overnight) – but its possible ES may only show the womens worlds next March in Japan given the rotation (or neither as they aren't in Europe - hopefully not!). If Eurosport don’t cover the event there is no geo blocking on any live coverage on the WCF you tube channel. |

Brewster won the tournament and that's now three wins this season? Are we sending him to the Euros? No. Murdoch then? No. You couldn't make it up....

Well to be fair re the Euros they had a play off and neither of those teams won. So team Edwards is going. Who goes to the worlds - assuming Edwards gets us qualified - will be decided at the Scottish champs in Feb. PS Any idea when Murdoch will dump his boys and try and muscle in on Team Brewster 2 if they start doing too well?

Plenty to watch this week - although in a poor time zone for us to watch!

We're on the verge of the Euros; quite a few live games on Eurosport 1 and 2, not over the weekend just Monday onwards; one more on the youtube channel but nothing on Eurosport player, so in otherwords Eurosport has downgraded curling.

Oops! Trust me to post the schedule up on the wrong thread! Sorry about that.
Really disappointed that there's nothing this weekend as I've been looking forward to it for a while. Interesting that Sweden have sent a couple of new'ish teams this time. I'm sure both will be competitive though. I guess Norway must be favourites in the mens' side, with Sweden, Swizerland, and Denmark chasing them; I don't know what to expect from this Scots team? Eve has to be a favourite in the womens' event; I guess the Swedes, Swiss will be the dangers and we'll wait with baited breath to see what mood the supermodels will be in. |

There's interest too in the "B" group where England are sending both a mens and women's rink and both have chances of promotion, something unheard of a few years ago. And our women's rink win on the good looks stakes.! Go boys and girls!! http://ecc2014.curlingevents.com/teams#ADivisionMen |

Perhaps the Swedes want more glamour to boost sponsorship? You would have to bet on Scotland in the womens and Norway or Sweden for the mens. |

Well, well well. Who'd have Adam and Eve'd it. The Germans are all in a tiswas.
1. Schopp won the German qualifiers. 2. The Germans decided to send Drendl instead 3. Schopp went to court and won. 4. Drendl who is on their way to Champery has now to turn round and go back. How very German..... ![]() I suggest that the German Federation should be sanctioned for all this nonsense and have the women's team play in the B league and have a team replace them. But that won't happen, too much TV money. Trying to get the info as to why they sent Drendl in the first place, there could be a genuine reason eg. injury or other commitments for thbut that seems very unlikely? Schopp rink, |

Notice that The Brewster has been helecoptered in to Edwards rink as alternate. Would be very surprised if he spent the whole week on the bench again, but if he gets the gig he deserves every success - and he's been red hot so far this season.

Scotland m lie 7 - 4 up after 8 vs mighty Norway (Ulsrud) and a very mature game Edwards has played too. Got to go out now - fingers crossed for some good news when I get home!
In the B group England m won easily and lie 1 and 0. England w are playing right now but can't find any scores? |

Scotland closed it out, 8-6. Take that, Vikings! The ladies are just starting now, SCO v DEN. In the B division ENG women lost 7-5 to Austria, seem to remember that Austria beat England in the play-offs last year.

Schopp rink, That's an impressive start by Edwards; beating Norway in the first game, what a confidence boost. Their game stats don't look that impressive so I hope they settle and push on from here. Scotland 4-3 down to Denmark after 5 ends just now; Eve had two really poor shots in the 5th to give Lene an easy two. The best coverage I've found is Curit's shot-by-shot graphics. |

Schopp rink, Eve is 4-3 down at present against Denmark - based on the website. I think some sessions are on the world curling you tube site as well as the Eurosport coverage but not this one? |

I'm having real trouble getting the scores - all I'm getting is "server down". Another Eurocurling cock-up??
At the very least they should have back-up, even if it's just the scores and not shot-by-shot; someone could even put them on facebook. |
