Yes, perfect. Phew!!!!!!

Nicely played 10th end from Scotland and Eve has an easy draw draw her match winning two. I'm not sure who she'll play next.

Piece of cake.

As it stands table shows we next play Denmark in the 3 - 4 game for a place in the Semi against Switzerland or Russia.

It would be nice if there was a link to the rules on the website about the tie breaker process - even the commentators have no idea.

Eve is tied with the Danes and Swiss in second. They can't be spilt by head to heads so do they do it on the draw shot challenge or have a play off to see who makes the 1-2 game with Russia? Does anyone know.?!

CORRECTED!!!!

I think the rule is that you cannot be ELIMINATED on a tie, but if rankings are equal, you are ranked on the result of your draw shot.

Draw shot rankings as given on the website are SUI 15:56, SCO 20:88, DEN 41.80

I don't know for sure, but I thought that's why they did the draw shot challenge to cear up situations like this one. If it is DSC, then looks like 3/4 game against Denmark.

If anybody fancies a day out, the England Women will be at the Glynhill in January, be good if they got some support after finishing joint 4th!

Other than as mentioned tie-brealers, if it's merely for position I think it's head-to-head and if that's no use then it's deffo DST.

Often though it would be easier to have a points system 3 for a win, 0 for a defeat, 2 for an extra-end win and 1 for ee defeat, and all games must be 10 ends and if teams are tied go to points difference, then points scored.

That means Russia would win 27 - 1 but at least we'd see them on the ice for longer.

If 4 teams all finish fourth, DST could determine who plays who in the first tie-break round. No-one is eliminated as pointed out without at least one extra game.

There is an extensive procedure document on the RCC website, if anyone wants a headache just now. Luckily it doesn't apply this week!!

I usually go back to Ayrshire sometime around New Year, so I might be able to make it along if I can get that long weekend off. I enjoyed my visit there a couple of years ago and ended up looking in each of the three days. It'd be good to get a look at all the entries though.

I have to admit I've a little soft spot for Lene Neilsen, she's always putting herself in or about the play-offs and giving herself a sniff of a medal, but never quite pulls it off. However, after nearly ruining Eve's Olympics and defeating her again this week, maybe it's time the Scots pulled one back on her tonight. I just hope Eve's draw game is bang on form and she doesn't have to resort to razzle-dazzle multiple take-out shots.

Any idea who else is going to be there?, braehead isn't that far from where I stay so if I remember it's on I might make it along,

Hopefully, she seems to have been better since the Estonia debacle.

It always has a quality line-up, and I'd be surprised if this year was any different, it's good practice for all before the World's.

I would expect Sidorova, Muirhead, Feldcher, Tirinzone and at least 80% of Europe's top rinks to be there.

Scottish men 5-3 up over Germany after 6...the Germans miss a last-stone draw, steal of 2. 7-3 up. Don't let them put any more stones in the house, lads!

At 7-3 I'm going to use those famous last words "nothing can go wrong now".

Yeah, Edwards finds the right time to steal shots against the hammer three ends in row. The German bottled it in end 7. Sensible play now is all that's needed.

Edwards missed one of his takeouts in 8, so 2 to Germany, but still 7-5 with the hammer with 2 ends to go. Blank them both, say I.

Tense in Norway v Czech Republic for 4th, 4-4 after 8. Norway with the hammer.

I would've certainly played to blank 9. Edwards put his two lead stones in the house though! he must be feeling confident today.

Scotland forced to take 1, so 8-5 up in the 10th, Germany have the hammer. Norway showing the Scots how it is done, they are not giving any Czech stone 30 seconds to settle in.

Think the SCO game's sorted now. England's mauling by Finland now looks like they will be playing Hungary for promotion and a place in the final. last end HUN two-down to NED but with LS

Looks like the Germans got one in the 10th, so 8-6 official. Czechs shook hands, so Norway into the play-offs

Well done Dave Edwards, ensuring Scotland keep their WC place next year. Ulsrud sees off the plucky Czechs and will have a game against the Swiss in the 3/4 play-off.

I hope England can pick themselves up after that bad loss. It'd be great to see them in the top division playing Scotland; even better if they could beat Germany and qualify for the Worlds though.

Looking at the scores England never got into the game, but if there's one to lose it's this one as they get another go, one win is promotion, two and it's a place at the World's (if they beat germany in a best-of-three shootout). Not too bad a place to be in!
