Bad start from Scotland tonight. Really poor draws from Anna and Eve let Denmark steal 2 against the hammer and are 3-0 after 2 ends.

Mistake in the second end still hurting Scotland; Denmark playing solidly and forcing Eve to take singles so far. 4-2 after 5.

Disaster in end 6 - Danes take a 3 (nearly a 5).

So 7-2 after 6 - game over!

Looks like the worst end I've ever seen Eve play. Terrible draws from her and Anna let Denmark pour stones into the house for a score of 3! I don't see Scotland coming back tonight from 7-2 down. Looks like another Bronze medal battle.

The way it's been going I wouldn't have been surprised if it had ended up a six.

Scotland need Rhona Martin levels of optimism now, steal 3, force 1 and a 3 in the 10th end to win, easy.

Look on the bright side - the bronze medal match is live and in full (3 hours) on Eurosport tomorrow night apparently.

http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/tvschedule.shtml

They are only showing 1 hour of highlights of the womens final on Saturday at 9pm.

Yes Eve loses - but you get more Eve for your money!

End 8 is looking busy.

Game over!

The way lene was playing she could probably have split both guards into the house and scored an 8....
she was on fire tonight, did she score one shot under 100%? They gave her only 75 for that penultimate freeze - what a joke it killed the game.
Just have to take the medicine, they did to us what we did to Germany, never put a foot wrong.
So apart from the bronze game, the only team left standing for glory is England, lie 2 - 3 after four ends but without the hammer.

Oh.....s..h....why did I write that? Holland have just bagged a six and it's 9 - 2 and if that's not game over I don't know what is.

Disappointed the Scots aren't going for a big medal here; they've got some work to do if they make it to the Worlds.

Little Lene Neilsen played a blinder tonight, she's turning out to be Eve's bogey team. She was drawing at 94% compared with Eve and Anna in the 65 and 73 respectively. As I said earlier I'd be chuffed to see her get a medal...just hope it's not Bronze :/

That's a really leg-breaking, heart-breaking end to what was a very good week for them.

9 - 4 in the 7th but without hammer.
I make it a steal of 1, 1, 2, 1 and 1 in the extra end and we'll all be wondering what all the fuss was about.

World Champion Swiss show their experience by just hanging in the game and letting the pressure bring a mistake from the Russians; shocker! I wouldn't be at all surprised if the medal matches are a repeat of the play-offs, though I'd hope for opposite results

Couple of years ago or so on View From The Hack (or Behind The Glass) suggested a rink had put in a bid, but that;s now been withdrawn and there's nothing in the pipeline for some time

On the bright side, if the new curling rinks at either garstang, Bispham or both get off the ground, and curling takes off in the north of England, how's about a bid from the Arena in Manchester

That would be SPECIAL!!

No venue yet - nor even a date.

I wonder if Eurosport will cover the two world championships in the spring given they are in Canada and Japan. Last year they only showed the men's event in Europe but didn't show the women's in Canada.

Given time zone and broadcast issues I am concerned they might not bother when the events are outside Europe.

Hoping I am wrong as it's much easier watching on tv than on you tube.

Looking like Eve will get another crack at the Danes for bronze, they are currently 3-7 down to the supermodels.

Time to get a TV with a youtube app! Although saying that, if the live game doesn't come up on the horizontal list, it's a beggar to find and I usually go to the TV's internet app, then youtube for it's ordinary website and find the game from there.

We need a Curling TV app for Xmas!! C'mon LG tellys, you know you want to!

NB My Eurosport app kept freezing/buffering so had to keep going back tot he good old laptop and plug that in. Ah, the wonders of modern technology

NB (2) I've booked in a try curling session at Deeside. Won't be writing much later next month due to two broken wrists, then.

Yeah, I've noticed that. This is why God gave us Chromecast.

Are you sure that is a list of what they are covering – or just a list of major curling events taking place?

I find it hard to believe they are going to cover the wheelchair and mixed doubles world championships in Finland (Feb) and Sochi (April) – unless they are hard up for daytime fillers since they lost tennis to BT?

I suppose we will have to wait until March to find out!

PS Yes Eve vs the Danes tonight! Russia vs Swiss in the women and Norway vs Sweden in the mens final tomorrow.
