Average tenure for a soap producer?
The reason I am asking about this one is because I'm wondering how much longer we will have to endure SB ruining Corrie.
There must surely be a shelf life. Although if you add the ruination of Emmerdale to SB's trail of destruction, he has been at ITV too long already. Hopefully they will move him to a programme I really don't like, preferably on one of the digital channels, which airs at 3am. |

The next few months of corrie and the last few weeks have been great imo. Corrie has improved; but I would like to see Blackburn leave the role as producer

Most last 2-3 years. I don't watch corrie and I'm glad I don't judging on how it's going. I'm just sticking to Eastenders and don't really want to be addicted to another soap tbh :P

3 years seems to be the average nowadays (like Doctor Who!!))
I seem to remember that Crossroads had producers in the old days that lasted 6yrs and 8 years - Reg Watson and Jack Barton) |

Blackburn is like Bryan Kirkwood, he can pull off some really good stuff at times, and do some cracking episodes, but overall he don't have a clue!

Wasn't Bill Podmore producer of Corrie for twelve years or something like that? I know his era is often referred to as the golden era of the show.

My guess is that Blackburn will be gone by the end of next summer, as that will be about 2.5 years as producer.
