I think this story has been completely overlooked and it's such a shame, I think DTC has done a fantastic job at Eastenders and it's back on form, but a criticism must be how storylines seem to be built up, sensationalised and then forgotten about, how is Denise coping? How is Patrick's recovery going? etc.

DTC has built up a load of storylines then realised, "shit, how do I fit all this in", then bunks off a couple and we don't hear from them for another year (cough, Shabnam, cough)

It's like drinking milk, then leaving it until its gone off, then you leave that milk unfinished and buy another bottle

We have seen Patrick multiple times since his stroke, it's quite realistic really.

Because he's been too focused on the rape storyline line. The wedding and the fire have also taken his priority.

Denise and Patrick are victims of those neglected while those stories dominate the screen time. Not a big Denise or Patrick fan but the stroke story has been brilliant so far

He'll probably be back whenever we next see Denise.

But yes, we have seen Patrick quite a lot post-stroke and its important to remember that all characters in EE have times when they're used quite heavily and then 4-6 weeks when we literally don't see them as other storylines start, develop or end. Sometimes an actor is off filming something else (Lacey, Samantha, Jessie) or a character might be a semi-regular or part time (Mo), but generally that applies.

For example Masood (up till yesterday), Carol, Lola, etc. Aleks recently went for a few weeks.

He's been seen but needs to recover some before he can contribute really to the show. That initial recovery is underway. What do folks want him to have a miraculous recovery? Folks really need to think about how serious a stroke is.

Eastenders have to show how serious a stroke is not the audience , the question was only when will Patrick be back on screen , a miracle recovery will no doubt take place when Patrick is back to shouting yea man and drinking rum soon

He's been seen and was involved in Ian / Denise breakup. There is only so much you can do with a character that is very incapacitated. He will return when he is realistically at a stage of partial recovery and can add to the show again.

Then why not show that partial recovery on screen? My point is this, stroke victims don't suddenly get better in 3 months without the aid of family support and physio, we've seen none of this, I feel it would be nice if we were allowed to see that on screen as it's an issue that effects a lot of people, I hope the struggle Denise has faced in the last 3 months without any of her or Patrick's family to support her, while holding down a job(?), after having her relationship break down, is properly explained when they're both next on screen.

I was really looking forward to the storyline but it's been a big disappointment. We've seen more of Linda Carter and this rape storyline in one episode than we've seen of Patrick since he had the stroke.
