Too bad for Billy Morgan, put up 3 medal quality jumps, but only landed one of them cleanly.

Looks like the tennis is heading for a 5-setter, going to wipe out most of the scheduled winter sport this morning.

Dave Ryding has just finished his first slalom run in 23rd, still about 40 to come, but should be good enough for the qualification.

Hmm, showing as 22nd now, someone must have been DQFed.

Second run at 12:15.

Following on from their canning live coverage of the Mens Pursuit Biathlon yesterday, they seem to have gone for the double - at least failing to go to Antholz in time for the start of the Mens Relay.

I appreciate that Eurosport is a commercial channel, and that likely as not, the advertisers for a grand slam tennis tournament pay bigger fees than for the Biathlon, but it you're going to advertise yourself as the home of winter sports, then it would be great if they covered the season properly.

Perhaps if one of the Eurosport commentators or decisions makers lurks around these forums they might wish to give their views / opinions.

I watched both the mens events on ZDF this morning - I tried Eurovision yesterday but for whatever reason - probably inadequate speed of my internet connection - the quality wasn't good enough.

My second, basic digibox - price € 50.00 is proving it's worth!

I hadn't known that there was also an overall European Champion to be selected in the Short Track - Elise Christie won that as well as the two golds. Charlotte Gilmartin was 7th overall.

There's a Men's Slalom in Schladming tonight - on Eurosport at 16:45 and second run time will depend on what happens in the football, but scheduled for 21:10.

There's also lots of Nordic events from the Universiade running all through the week.

Some results so far from the EYOF and the Universiade. No medals for GB in either, but some good performances.

In the EYOF Danielle Harrison and Josh Brown both came in 10th in their Figure Skating events. Ayla Thidling & Glen Ironside were 9th in the team snowboard cross.

In the Universiade, Fiona-Elizabeth Hughes placed 22nd out of 64 in a very strong 5km Cross-Country classic race, beating a lot of athletes from established nations.
