Let's have a thread for all those long forgotten characters we never ever mention on here

I will start with Joanne, Phils Irish nanny. Did anyone else like her? I thought she was fab, although I thought her obsession with Phil was odd especially when she jumped in bed with him when he was asleep. Alice was quite similar to her in some respects. I wish she had stayed longer in the show.

I'd say pretty much all characters get mentioned quite a bit on here, but some are mentioned a lot!

Please don't all virtual-hit me at once but I actually liked Bobby Davro in EE when him and Shirley went out together

I don't think Kate Mitchell is mentioned as much as her peers from that time. I was only a casual occasional viewer then but she was one of my favourites.

I liked Kate too, would love her to return, she has slept with Sharon's husband and father (not at the same time) so that could make things interesting

I liked Kate, but a beautiful woman like that falling for Phil.... crazy.

Someone I loved was Lydia, what a character Fabulous...and one of the most poignant death scenes that I've ever seen in a soap.

I'd totally forgotten she even existed, she was fantastic and a great partner for Charlie Brooks to go up against.

I'd love to see Kate make a return, I'd keep her well away from Phil though. She always seemed like an intelligent woman she wouldn't go back to Phil after the way he treat her. Not like his doormats Sharon and Shirley. Kate developed a pretty close friendship with Ian before leaving maybe she could return to visit him maybe help out with the Lucy murder investigation she was a copper after all.

I thought she was bunny boiler fabulous too!

Although the Eastenders episodes set in Ireland were horrrendous and offensive, Mary and Conor were decent characters

I also loved Lenny and Hew

If she came back I bet you anything they would put her with Max.

Melaine Owen never seems to get alot of credit despite her being one of the biggest characters in Eastenders during the late 90s and early 00s's, she uttered the final line of the last millimenium by marrying the longest serving EE character,Melaine was also a central character involved in story lines when the show went 4 days a week, another milestone for her yet she is always a character that is forgotten.

Kate was great, apart from inexplicably falling for Phil, but hey ho, occupational hazard for Watford Women. It was a shame she was axed.
