I actually think Mark's Samba training looked really good on the Wednesday Warm Up. I'm just erring on the side of caution with his scores; the judges seem a little undecided on him at the moment, and that can sometimes colour their scores a tad. The Viennese Waltz really suits Sunetra on paper, and Brendan choreographs them beautifully, so I think this is probably her first chance to really challenge for the top (apart from her American Smooth which was undermarked but I'll let that go now forgive and forget).

What about my Frankie

Frankie I think would actually benefit from a couple of weeks in the doldrums after her Paso, lest she ends up surpassing Natalie as the "Oh god I'm bored of her, she's always top, I want anyone to win but her" contestant. Her Foxtrot will undoubtedly be lovely, but her frame did look a bit straight on the WWU, so not perfect.

The first 10 of the series has been given in the following weeks per series:

Series 1: Week 5
Series 2: Week 7
Series 3: Week 6
Series 4: Week 3
Series 5: Week 4
Series 6: Week 7
Series 7: Week 5
Series 8: Week 5
Series 9: Week 4
Series 10: Week 7
Series 11: Week 6

The average first 10 is given out Week 5 (well, 5.36).

Also, first 10s have been given by the following judges the following amount of times:

Craig: Mrs. Ellis Bextor came close Series 11, Week 2 apparently, but no, lol.
Arlene: Series 1, Series 2.
Alesha: Series 7, Series 8, Series 9.
Darcey: Series 10, Series 11.
Len: Series 6.
Bruno: Series 3, Series 4, Series 5.

By those stats, Darcey is most likely to give the first 10, although Bruno is also very likely.

NOTE: DONNY'S 10 DOES NOT EXIST.

Definitely, I was out last Saturday so was unable to give him my four votes, that could have made all the difference to him ending up in the dance off.

Alison & Aljaz (Tango) - 5, 6, 7, 7 = 25
Caroline & Pasha (Paso Doble) - 8, 8, 9, 9 = 34

Sunetra & Brendan (Viennese Waltz) - 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36
Thom & Iveta (Cha Cha Cha) - 7, 7, 7, 8 = 29

At this point, my votes would go to Mark, Jake and Steve. Although Sunetra and Thom would get votes if there were five.

I hope some people aren't assuming the top 4 are safe because they are just as much at risk as couples who are lower on the leader board.

No-one's safe; in fact, most of our predictions this week so far have Sunetra above at least 1 of the "top 4", and very few people would consider her automatically safe even then. With the fickleness of the voting public, at this point anyone 3rd and down is in danger if they have an inoffensive, forgettable dance, and people assume they're safe.

I must be one of the few people who thinks Sunetra is very popular. With both Simon and Mark having been in the dance-off in the first three weeks, we must assume that Sunetra, Steve, Judy, Scott, Alison and Thom are all more popular than those two. And, going by people on the forums (I'm aware that they don't mean everything), most of them are more popular than Pixie and/or Frankie.

Sunetra's extremely popular with me. Trying to remain impartial in my marking/comments/discussion though.

I must say, last week I spent all of Sunday in a knotted mess wondering whether she'd be in the dance-off (or eliminated ) as I didn't check the spoiler and she was so low down on the leaderboard, so was pleasantly surprised when she was safe. I really think she has the capacity to challenge all the top 4 (not necessarily beat, just challenge), and the fact the public are keeping her in each week leaves me very excited: any week could be the week she has her breakthrough.

I think she's probably a bit MOTR with the public - I reckon she'll get a high audience vote with a great dance and good performance slot (like her American Smooth), but suffer slightly with a forgettable dance (like her Salsa). I'd be surprised if she wasn't in the lower third/half of voting last week. I think she'll avoid the DO this week, and for a few more weeks - I think she's more popular than Steve, Mark and Simon who will probably be next to her in the leaderboard.

As you say, the forums don't mean everything (or anything in some cases), and I'd say that Frankie/Pixie (or at least Frankie) is polling higher than that group (excluding Thom and Judy perhaps).

There is basically nothing which can be said about the audience vote until now (except that Simon and Mark obviously have no fanbase). Sunetra probably did get many votes last weekend, if you assume that this forum is a good reference point.

The only real trends that I can see (outside of actual voting figures) is that Caroline seems to be doing well each weekend and the fact that there does seem to be a mini backlash starting against Alison (the tango this weekend could make or brake her).

Thom might be doing well in the vote, but he loses many ovary votes to Jake (a problem that the likes of Harry or Louis didn't have in their series) and even the other pretty boys.

Do think that Simon and Sunetra might be in trouble with the boring VW, unless they are able to sneak their way past 1 or 2 of the final four on the judges leaderboard.
