EastEnders ending - did I imagine this?
Was there an episode where the camera pulled up from a bird's eye view of Albert Square and kept going further and further up until it morphed into the usual map of london? I can't find it anywhere on youtube but I'm sure this happened around the time of the 25th anniversary.

Could it have been one of the 25th anniversary trailers?

Thanks!! Glad to know I'm not crazy hahaha.
It's very impressive. I wonder why they used it for this episode? Would have made sense to use it for more of a landmark episode but I guess a two-hander is still a good choice. |

It did happen. Some posters are getting it wrong saying it was Stacey's exit and the 25th birthday episode. It was a two hander episode between Max and Stacey when she explained all about killing Archie.

I think he got very complacent and got a bit obsessed with the Brannings. He had overstayed his welcome imo, which is a shame as I think the last couple of years in the show tarnishes his reputation as a great writer.
He was one of the show best writers, but most of his episodes over the last few years was just big coveted ones mostly involving the Brannings, he was series consultant through both BK and Newman's era as well, I think DTC made the right decision he current team are good and his got a nice selection of decent writers new and old. Nice little exit shot there though, I do not remember it. |

Another two-hander is long overdue. Maybe we can get one between Ian and Lucy's killer.

I thought the idea behind it was that panning up to Heaven where Bradley was looking down on them.

They did some nice stuff with the credits in 2010. They should do some more now we're leading up to the anniversary.

This was when Stacey left: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oXICmcosN3Q
I loved the credits during the two handed episode, I certainly wasn't expecting it! I thought it must have been made using google earth or something similar. |
