It's funny how Robert is treated as the bad guy on the show, and whilst yes he is a manipulative sleazeball and a knob, Andy is much worse than him if you look at his violent, criminal history. Killed his own mother in a fire deliberately set by him, shot his own dad albeit accidentally, abused his wife etc. Yet Andy is forgiven for all this.

I can understand why Robert resents him to be honest as he feels he got let off for everything by his parents, which is what makes their relationship interesting. Usually soap writers come up with contrived reasons for brothers to hate each other, so makes a refreshing change.

I can understand robert's feelings towards Andy as well. Of course Andy didn't mean to kill Sarah or shoot Jack but Robert must feel that no matter what Andy does, he'll always be forgiven and the 'preferred' son. That would sting if you were full siblings, having it be someone that isn't even your Dad's blood when you are has really got to be a kick in the teeth.

I think it's down to a very basic thing. Andy is thick and reacts without thinking but Robert is clever and very calculating. Robert is evil whereas Andy is just a dumb thug

To be honest I like this robert and andy rivalry storyline and that, plus the new robert actor is pretty fit, and leyla and him would be great if it were to happen. Chrissie should go off with someone but there is not really much to choose from.

The writing for Katie is quite peculiar at the moment.
On the one hand she's being so nice, friendly and understanding to the point where's she's almost sickly sweet. On the other, she's being repeatedly dumped on by other characters.

They also allowed Megan to talk down to her during the fake wedding planning meeting. Katie always used to stand up to Megan and her snooty ways, so why would she just sit there and take it then? Really, she would have thrown back an insult about wanting someone with someone classy and professional to plan her wedding instead of her ex's lap dog sister. She also would have thrown back about having the dignity to leave Declan when she was cheated on whereas Megan is desperately clinging to Jai.

But there's always a case for standing back and letting foul mouthed people spout off and show themselves up.
