There is something blue and familiar in the Age of Ultron trailer.

I believe I may have spotted something rather familiar to the Whoniverse that our resident Time Lord calls Home (or Sexy depending on company). I've posted the article elsewhere so if you'd like to have a quick ganders it's here >A Familiar Blue Box<.

Perhaps it's the first Easter Egg from the Age of Ultron?

Perhaps our favourite Time Lord is going to sort out this mess within the space of 45 minutes and a budget far smaller?

Good lord imagine that. I don't think my tiny nerdy mind could cope with such a thing!

While it may have originally been a Police Phone Box it looks like it's a newspaper kiosk or something now.

So not a TARDIS Easter egg I'm afraid.

But possibly one for which the similarity of shape and colour is no accident

I can sort of see the resemblance at a stretch but doubt it was deliberate.

They saw it, doesn't mean they put 3 and 5 together and got 9 lik yourself. Just because something looks like something to you personally doesn't mean it does to everyone else, hell, everyone doesn't even see the same shade of a colour apparently.

You saw a tardis because you watch doctor who and don't have newspaper stands like that on every street corner, those who made the film saw a newspaper stand as they do have them on every street corner. We see what is most familiar to us its the way the brain works, it sees something in a flash and pulls an image from memory that we recognise most that is similar in shape until it gets a clearer look at the object.

You simply saw it in an instant mapped the tardis over it in your mind as thats what it most resembled in that instant to your brain to make sense of it, now you cannot unsee the tardis even though it is not the tardis. Those who made the trailer saw a newspaper stand as they instantly know what it is by seeing them everyday. I doubt the tardis even crossed their mind when making the trailer.

And people like you assume to much. I never said at any point I believe it or they put it there. I said they would of seen it.

Obviously, nobody can say whether or not it's a case of an object that just happens to look like the TARDIS or whether it's a little joke on the part of Joss Whedon or other members of the production team. There is a precedent for such things in Joss Whedon relayed material, though.

I have seen this posted on American sites and event they said it looks like a TARDIS and not much like a newspaper stand which are normally wider and brown

That scene was supposedly filmed in Seoul and the TARDIS was hanging round Seoul back in July as part of the World Tour.

However I think the Avengers filming there would have been over long before the World tour arrived in Seoul.
