EE : Marquee Signings?
Following the sad news that Timothy West is leaving EastEnders will the show be able to entice Marquee names to Albert Square?
Simon Callow has said that he is interested in a role and is good friends with Ann Mitchell. Will we see any other big names like a West in EE in 2015? Ann Mitchell & Annette Badland through their body of work are also Marquee in my view. |

I can't see Callow working on Eastenders at all. I don't think I ever seen him do working class and he can't just rock up on Albert Square and be Thespian standing next to Danny Dyer.
Obviously Lynda Bellingham would have been a massive coup but sadly she's no longer with us. I think the only "marquee signing" worth doing right now would be to entice Ross Kemp back and to play out the Mark Jnr storyline. |

As for Women I would say- Alison Steadman As for Men I would say- Kenneth Cranham or Terence Stamp. I don't regard Ross Kemp as Marquee but having him back for the Mark Jnr storyline would be great. |

I thought this meant Paul Marquess had been signed up, that would have defo destroyed EE.
Simon Callow would make a fabulous Fat Elvis. |

I very much doubt that Alison Steadman can do a cockney accent. she has the same over the top essex voice in everything. plus I think she is too in demand with other stiff right now

I often think Peter Firth of Spooks fame would be good in Eastenders.

He'd only be a bloody Mitchell.
"Bow down before your new God!" I would cast him or Kenneth Cranham as Cora's Brother. |

Pauline Collins would suit Corrie I think. Eileen Atkins would fit in well though.

Alun Armstrong would be good too.
Derek Jacobi annoys me so he is out. I do like Anne Reid though, she would be great. |
