Paula Lane is as usual doing a brilliant job, sadly she is turning back into the old Kylie which is such a shame as I liked watching the more mature and settled relationship between her and David developing.

I just wish they could have found another way to explain Kylies future absence from the street...........I hate seeing her self-destruct.

A brilliant idea, jsmith99; that will keep her in drugs for at least a year. then she can sell Lily.

And she doesnt turn up for an appointment but doesnt think that the client would ring to find out why? Dah. Is Callum the male model giving Kylie her drugs for free? Why would she blurt out she was collecting Max from "Bessie Street school" How would Callum know which kid was Max out of all them running out of school when he hasnt seen him since he was a baby?

Yep a pile of shite, surely they could have thought up a better leaving for a time story for Paula Lane. Kylie was just becoming likeable now we all hate her again .

There is probably a good chance that Kylie has shown Callum a photo of Max on her phone.

Quite the contrary, I think it's showing what an incredible actress Paula Lane is.

In my opinion, she brightens up any scene she's in. Maybe that's just me though.

I keep expecting Frank to be propping up the bar! Yes Qasim Akhtar has really ripened into a tasty piece of fruit.

Am I alone in thinking that Kylie would be better of with Callum, David isn't exactly much competition

I think they should have given her the depression storyline. Not that I don't think the guy who plays Steve won't do it justice, nor that highlighting depression in males isn't a good story too. But it woukd have been interesting to see her suffering from real depression (not just this old crap about being stressed because Max has had ADHD for two weeks.)

The climax of her storyline woukd be her going missing, the fallout from that and then again from her subsequent return.

A tough storyline but I think the Platt actors are amongst the best and could have pulled it off.

The different lighting to normal, gave the set a different feel.”

Was that the Woolpack set on the backlot at Harewood House or in the studios over in Leeds?

There's a partial interior of The Rovers at Media City but because they persisted on keeping the kitchen and lounge in the middle of Rosamund Street they haven't built a full interior set inside! Image:

True. The Rovers is half a pub.

True. Dealers have money for drink all day and take their own product.

I've noticed that a lot of characters keep getting recycled storylines that are too predictable and lack imagination. Peter - alcohol and affairs. Leanne - divorced, yet again. Maria - once again revolving around relationships while her young son is invisible. Kylie - self destructive 'bad mother' mode (and it hasn't even been a year since her last self destruct mode.) Carla - heartbreak/relationship failure. Liz - toyboys and inevitably going back to Jim, so she does. Half of the street are just on repeat. No room for development or suspense.

Better off yes if she wants to end up in an early grave.

Or perhaps she'll go to stay with Becky - but again, for 9 whole months?

I know that maternity leave is hard to write around for a character who is settled like Kylie (and also Fiz) but they shouldn't have gone down this route as I can't see any plausible way for this storyline to head towards a 9-month exit without completely destroying Kylie's character and relationships. At least with Fiz they seem to be going for a tenuous but somewhat plausible explanation which means her place on the street won't be ruined.”

I think I read Paula Lane saying she's leaving at Christmas and she'll be back in March, so thats 3 months. I don't know where you got 9 months from

Of course! That is what you do when you dont want someone to have anything to do with your son, you get out a picture of him.

I assumed they had got confused between how long the actress is off for and how long the average pregnancy lasts.

Well, maternity leave varies in length, I know, but I guess I assumed it would be around that as soap stars do tend to take just under a year for maternity leave. I hadn't realised she was keeping it to a minimum, that's good news!

David may not be the best but I can't see why he'd stay with Kylie when you consider all she's done, walking out on her kids/family/job at the drop of a hat, lying, taking her childs meds and running away from her child as he called down the street after her, oh and she slept with his brother. I think she'd have been long gone in most mens eyes. And as a viewer I won't miss her guerning, pathetic attempts to have a row with just about anyone who approaches her, it's not even like a proper row she just tells them to get lost and strops off. Waste of character space IMO.

Considering she has been getting bladdered in the pub, it's very possible.
