Stuart Blackburn says....
That Corrie is on FIRE at the moment!!!!!!
Should he perhaps be breathalysed or tested for illegal substances? Or is he just blessed with an incredibly high boredom threshold? He does appear to be laughing in every publicity photo of himself. But little amuses the innocent as they say... |

I agree with everything you've said AndreaMC. How long left does Stuart Blackburn have on his contract?

![]() Sadly though, i think he could continue his repetitive storyline ( singular) for ever if no one stops him. should we maybe petition the government to do something? I can't wait to see the fab Faye Rosemary's baby pregnancy event myself, followed by the vicar marrying himself to Sean in Kal's ratbag ma's community centre. I'm only watching it out of hate myself now. |

I have stopped watching it now. I can't put up with the rubbish anymore.
I might try watching it again if Blackburn ever gets the sack. |

God knows how long he has left, I bet you in any other country they would have fired him, thanks to his being not fit for purpose by now.

Bring back Phil Collinson I say!
It's not that bad though really, is it?? OK - it's a bit "meh" - but all soaps go through that period from time to time. Look at EastEnders ! Emmerdale seems to be the most consistent soap of all IMO ! |

Must be a fire started with methane gas from his own BS. It`s the only possible explanation why he`s the only person in the UK who is happy with the direction Corrie is going.
Either that or Rotten Cotten came through with a promise. |

I'm trying to stop watching it, but found myself with it on again yesterday aaaargh
![]() ![]() ![]() I have watched since a young boy from episode one with my mother and Gran. Until recently, it was my children and wife watching with me. They still watch, but I just can't stomach it anymore. I find myself complaining throughout the show and annoying my family, so it's better if I don't watch it. I get myself so wound up by the poor continuity, poorly researched storylines etc. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Seriously guys, I think if we all were to vote with our remote and collectively stop watching it together they might be forced to admit defeat and agree that SB needs to go to a desert island penal colony somewhere to atone for his crimes and allow people to forget what he did to Corrie. Does anyone still remember caring about any of the characters now in fact? Do you not want that feeling back? Let's do it, let's strike against Blackburn. We know it makes sense

I wrote a complaint to ITV a few weeks ago on the state of the soap and how Stuart Blackburn needs to step down. However I think the production team and ITV and too naive and pretentious to see that there is a problem with the soap. I Think everyone just needs to band together and submit a complaint to ITV then maybe we can see some changes!

If your interested http://www.change.org/p/corrie-execu...ackburn-resign I still think that if a large proportion of viewers could simply tune out for a couple of episodes, (say anything revolving around Kylie at the drug pub or Moochy Steve, i mean would we really miss it that much?) and the ratings plummeted to unknown depths, now that would be a statement. Even thinking about it is making me quiver lol |

He was misquoted. He actually said "The scripts should be set on fire."

He doesn't know how to produce soaps, he has no frame of reference for whether something is good or not.

I don't think it's THAT bad. But what is bad is really bad:
* The Nazirs * Kylie/Callum etc. * Gail & Michael The producers need to accept that none of these work, and either axe them or you know, make them work! They also need to accept that one or two of the writers are just not up to the job - especially the appalling Simon Crowther. They also need to recast Faye and Simon, the current children who play them just aren't up to the bigger stories. |
