The British Legion on line shop has all sorts of poppy related merchandise, including various poppy brooches in different sizes, pins, rings, mugs, tea towels. The British Legion gets a percentage of the sales. I have a sparkly poppy and a ring from previous years, but always put a donation in the collecting box without taking a poppy.

You can also wear the white poppy to show respect while saying never again

I so agree, it's simply irrelevant whining.
People are entitled to their opinion but once it's been said 100 times I think that's probably enough

You do know you can donate £50 and still just take a paper poppy don't you. If people want one that looks nice, why is that an issue? Particularly from one who donates time to selling them. I think it's odd to be begrudging in those circumstances, it's conflicting.

Loved that he got a 4 from Craig

He's ok, better than the worst few but a long way from being a contender.

Bruno was talking about Thoms personality, which I have declared missing in action.

Cheesy, yes quite a good description.

I'd give it 7 or an 8 if I was being generous, but I agree she didn't seem as confident as she usually does, not her best .
I'm surprised at Craig's 8

Lacking drama. As Craig said.

I also like that she tells the baying crowd she listening to Craig criticism

His best by far.
I think his youth means that this sort of disco dancing samba style would be most natural to him

I didn't like the choreography and thought Karens performance had a crudeness to it.

But he did really well considering he's been near the bottom a few times.

Maybe he is turning a corner?

I don't know anything about press, I thought she looked beautiful and elegant,. Ola looks the hardest and cheapest usually but Karen was in contention tonight.

No he doesn't, I think it might be because Simon reacts badly to criticism.

There is a reason they call that man The Voice, saw him a couple of years ago, he still had what he had when I first saw him in the early 80's.
Marvellous chap, I love him

That is quite a stupid thing to write. And very disrespectful to those who wear white poppies or write that others should be free to wear white poppies. And the latte is against DS forum rules.

No she is still rubbish and the worst dancer there, she's I proved against her own standards but she is terrible.

Pasha and Caroline did really well. I don't know her at all but she is improving from a decent start. Contenders based on that dance ,

It was nice, Ola looking less Blackpool show girl than usual.
What all their dances lack for me is genuine warmth from her,
I wish he had a better partner, one who could match his kind and fun nature.

You seem to be having trouble comprehending a very simple thing.

My stance is its disrespectful to wear a white poppy.

As for what you say about T&Cs etc, with respect, that is completely rubbish.

What is interesting is that I've made lots of remarks about the show (remember, the actual topic) and yet I find all I am faced with is people determinedly attempting to argue off topic and then covertly threatening to have me banned by reporting me.
Go ahead, I truly could not care less.
I would say why I think a few of the FMs do these things but I'm far too nice.

I'm surprised Craig didn't give a 9.

I think I agree with the leader board from last night, Judy worst, Scott next. Alison had a bad night.
I expect Scott or Simon will go.

A white poppy is a symbol of peace . If you have a problem with anyone wearing a symbol of peace thats your problem not theirs

To be fair, there is a history of resentment against the white poppy so your views do have some antecedent, in another century. Many women in the 1930s were victimised for wearing the white poppy. Yet the Peace Pledge Union means no disrespect at all to soldiers and families or victims of war in any country. (Neither did the cooperative wholesale society back in the day, but there you go).

You give the impression very much of marking people's comments. Tick. Cross. Bad. Do better. Next! I'm sure we are edified

Only just caught up on this week's show...

Miles better than last week!
Back to the way I like Strictly.

Limited props, lovely outfits (no splitting trousers), no heavy handed theming.
I admit I FF'd through the "training" vids.

I thought that Claudia and Tess really got it right this week. Claudia was really funny and they have got Tess's script working for her, rather than just giving her Bruce's lines. She had a couple of throwaway gags that she handled well.

More of the same please!

The money doesn't go to the British Legion to help ex-servicemen, the white poppy is organised by some lefty organisation, where does the money go.?

Surely its a persons choice ? The same servicemen fought for us all to have a choice

The money raised by white poppies over the cost of making and distributing goes to their own education programme.

The proceeds from red poppies goes to help ex-servicemen in need.

Some years all he ladies on SCD have worn large silk poppies and the men more demure ones, with some wearing the sparkly enamelled ones. I admit I haven't always noticed them in other years. This year some of them weren't very visible on the red dresses, and it struck me that there were several dressed with red bodices on Saturday. Wonder if the wardrobe department was aware that they would be wearing them. Presumably they will wear them every week until after 11th November.

I checked this out for you... the Peace Pledge Union barely covers its costs for white poppies

I will repeat myself as often as I like and I personally don't like it when the same piece of music is used more than once. I've never missed an episode of SCD and I find it distracting to see another couple dancing to music used by another couple, often to a different dance. I simply don't see the need.

And as I said, I will repeat myself as often as I like.

And I will wear what ever colour of poppy I want to wear too.
