Yep true All round, but the music she was asked to preform to was awful. That was my comment not her style

I thought it was really, really bad. She is so hampered by how flat footed she is. It always appears as though she is shuffling along in a pair of old slippers.

I doubt it. They can't tell good from bad music. They have no idea.

OP - I think any thread about Alison will inevitably end up talking about her weight. I watched tonight and could only admire her rhythm and ability - but also thought - if only she was 5 stone lighter - what a contestant she would be.
In the meantime - I am a little tired with every Strictly including the token obese dancer. What are they trying to prove?
However PC they are being - the facts are there. Anyone carrying that amount of weight is risking damage to their heart and their joints. This is not "weightist" - it is a simple fact. And I am speaking from having lost several stone over the last few years and improved my general health immeasurably - including risks of heart problems and diabetes.

Susan I agree, having lived with someone who as lost 15 stone, BUT they could have helped her by giving then a better music choice, her pro could have given her a better chance of going through

I have to agree and despite the comments my opinions might attract I'm constantly surprised that once an invitation to SCD is issued and accepted those with weight issues don't address the problem before the programme starts.

I agree but weight problems are not all about gluteny, I'm over weight but it's not about over eating. I go to the gym 4 times a week I have a thyroid problem

I don't care why she is large, I care only that she isn't able to dance because of her bulk. The fact that I find her extremely irritating is a factor of her OTT personality and nothing to do with her weight. But she really is far too large to be doing this programme

Yep. The music was dire.
and so was her horrible costume. Why was she not is something sexy in black or purple? The costume designers have done her no favours any week but this week was the pits!

Poor dance, all a bit groundhog day with Alison, she is nearing her time but there are a couple who should go before her.

I have always watched Alison's * performance* up to now .....but tonight I watched her feet and it was like seeing a different person...there is no movement and, she is absolutely right, even with a small heel, she is so very flat footed.

As others have said, the music didnt help either.

I don't think the music was the problem, it's actually a great song. She needs to sort out her footwork....

Alison creates a lot of forum chatter but I don't see any problems tonight. She is in the correct place on the leader board. Different music would not change that.

But others are not only commenting on the music. The thread just says "Alison".

Feel free to ask the mods for the title to be changed if you want the thread to stick to "Alison's Music".
