I hope I get this right - it's my first time at initiating a thread!

The other soaps consistently have the same layout - e.g. CS have the cobbles, EE has the Square. However Hollyoaks is constantly changing and it doesn't seem to bear any resemblance to how it looked even 5 years ago.

Unless my eyes are deceiving me the hospital seems to be getting close to the village centre.

Does anyone know what the current layout actually looks like and how those houses away from the village - the McQueens and the Roscoes for example - look like in proximity, as they would on a map?

Have a great weekend xx

Hello!

Yeah, its slightly irritating that the layout seems to change rapidly without explanations but that's part of what Hollyoaks is about I guess!

The reason why you think the hospital is getting closer is because some of it has replaced the SU Bar set, which is of course, in the main village.

Anyway, there's a few threads similar that could help you out:

Thanks for this, chick! I can't believe I've missed these threads.

It looks like I'm going to be studying a map this weekend....!

Thanks again

emmerdale is similar to hollyoaks in that the village does not really resemble the original show when it started in 1972. look at the woolie in 72 and compare that to now.

The SU Bar was under the Uni. The halls everyone lived in were above the S.U which and you could walk through the Uni into the back of College Coffee (as displayed only once).
